Breast Enhancement Recovery Time?
I am going in for my first BA in July. I'm getting approx 360ccs submuscular, through the armpits, round low bleed silicones (its easy to get silicone in Canada)
My question is how long does it take to recover? By recover I mean healed to the point so it feels okay to move around easily without being afraid the implants will become displaced. How long will it hurt for ? I heard massaging is good but how hard should I massage? How long would it take for the swelling to go down and for it to take on a more natural appearance? I am new at this and I was hoping the vetrans can help me out.
Re: Breast Enhancement Recovery Time?
My swelling was down in a few days, but I couldn't work for 4 weeks, and I had overs not unders. My pain was gone except for some soreness by day two. Soreness lessened every day, and was gone in a couple weeks. If you go back to work after 4 weeks, NO POLE WORK and really take it easy dancing. Your upper body muscles will be sore, especially pecs which is what you use the most for pole work and floor tricks. I'm 6 weeks along now and I can pretty much do all my normal dancing, but with unders it may take longer because they actually cut the muscle to place the implants under there. The doctor will show you how to massage on a post-op visit - it sort of a medium pressure I'd say, nothing drastic or painful. The first couple times you massage will hurt some. My doc said no real exercise for 3-4 weeks, and no upper body work for 8 weeks. Your doc will tell you how long to wait for full movement and exercise. Follow all the doc's instructions! I posted a lengthy review of my ordeal here:

since these implants have to put in at full size since the implant bags are factory sealed, you're going to have a large incision and a larger amount of tissue trauma. I would say that with under the muscle implants put in through armpit incisions that you'll be pretty messed up for 5 days or so, you'll be hurting for 2 weeks, you can probably do 'light duty' movements by 4 weeks, and that it will take at least 8 weeks until you can comfortably attempt pole work. My only comment would be that 360cc implants are not very large and are not very big in diameter either - you may want to consider going up an extra 100cc to narrow the resulting gap between breasts.

Yes and 100cc isn't very much at all - I think one doc told me 50cc is like 10 teaspoons! Not much difference in size but alot of difference in appearance. Don't want too much gap between the boobs, looks like two balls strapped on instead of boobs!
