massaging helps with the circulation. you can also go to a clinique to get Endermologie done. I have this device called elysee electo with rollers and suction that i think works better than simple massaging.

Angelina gave a good link. The thing about cellulite is it's only a fancy name for fat! Dimpling of the skin is usually the start.
Massage will "help" break up the fat that has accumulated in the spot. What you need to do is deep rub massage. If you have a rolling pin for making bread, use it. Extend you leg out, and roll up towards your heart, not down. You want blood/fluids to flow upwards.
It takes discipline and time. 15 minutes each leg a few times a week.
Sitting is the worst. Try sitting on edge, instead of on the back of your legs for long periods of time.
Funny thing, very skinny girls get this as well. I can be fought and won without surgery!! It's all about building muscle tone in the area, while deep massage often enough.
Some say drinking lots of water while doing this helps, i don't know. The body only takes so much in, then it pees out clear, going right out of the body as quickly as it goes in. Your body will let you know when you have had enough to drink. Lol.
Pamela :)
Hey Pamle and Angela thanks for advice.
The only reason why I am so frustrated about cellulite is because before my pregnancy i have working out for a year and i had cellulites only in little places and they were not noticable period. For some reason I didnt exercise during the pregnancy, and of course my body changed more . I didnt get fat or anything but that fat just comes out in some areas. I cant start dancing yet because i just got this fear about cellulite. I am trying to get rid of anything that looks like cellulite. I will definitely massage my legs and areas everyday. I use that AVON Cream but it seems that it helped only first 2 weeks but thats it. Anyways I will talk to you guys later :)
Chick at my health club works out like a SEAL. I mean, she is on the stair climber EVERY friggin morning and sweats gallons. Why? Cuz she's got a pear shape and even though from the waist UP she's cute as a button, she's got a life-long project managing her thighs. (So do I, but that's another story.)
Guess what? She's now about 6 mos preggars. Poor thing -- her hips have gained about as many inches as her belly!!! Of course, Mama Nature and a good mid-wife will get rid of the belly in one fell swoop in about 3 more months. The thighs stay with us forever.....
Solution? She's back on the stairmaster like nobody's business. I dunno if conditioning affects the fetus, but if it does, when the OB/GYN spanks the newborn, the kid is gonna haul off and pop the shit out of the doc!!!
Anyway, the only thing we can do is play like we're training for a marathon.
even if the urine looks clear, it is still removing poisons from the body. the more water the better. one way to aviod cellulite is to avoid processed foods and animal fat.
if you dont take excess fat in, it wont get stored in your ass, because there wont be any fat in your body to store !
Ryan... I agree with the water thingie, but female phyiology is a little different from male (or hadn't you noticed? It's what keeps strip clubs different from regular bars!). Anyway, for a lot of us, even if our diet is just perfectly balanced and nutritious, we end up with thigh prob's. Water is extremely useful. Exercise both tones as well as raises the metabolism to help burn off that excess fat.
Ryan, this post was about massage, not diet. Anyway, good theory, but not too practical when it comes to a little thing called reproduction. You can change your diet, but not your DNA. Women's bodies were made to store excess fat in our asses (and other places). You see without adequate amounts of fat, we couldn't menstruate or provide enough nutrition to a growing fetus.
Sorry to burst your fantasy of having a bunch of skinny women with no cellulite running around. You seem to have issues with fat in gereral, based on another post I saw! Even skinny women can get cellulite, you can't escape your genes! :P
That lady on stairmaster is overdoing it i guess. I cant wait till i have little hips. I always thought i wasnt proportionate lol. Little hips will make me more sensual i think. BUt yes its all in our genes....
my mother never had cellulite, neither my fathers side . They all look healthy and slim ,i mean majority , they found Exercise and my mom still going to the gym everyday she is 54 now looks like she is in her 40's. I beleive its all about willpower.
:)
no i dont necessarily care about extra weight, however, if someone is looking for advice and i feel i can help them out, i try my best.
