An alternative to dermablend....
Hi girls :)
FYI - I am sure we have all used dermablend to hide those nasty bruises and blemihes, but i have noticed that more often than not, i wind up with a pinkish glow on my skin from it under the black lights.
There is a make up called COLORSTAY by revlon. it is a thicker base than most and has something in it called titanium dioxide, which makes it stay on. it hides everything (at least in my experience) and wont rub off on customers. plus, you dont get a funky glow from the lights.
its about $12.00 and you can get it anywhere they sell revlon. take care - shawn :)
Re: An alternative to dermablend....
Dermablend dont really work for my skin either so thanx for the info. :D
Re: An alternative to dermablend....
I spend alot of time on a make-up artist's message board and the consensus over there is that Covermark is the shit! Everyone seems to think that it is a much better alternative to Dermablend.

Just FYI, titanium dioxide is just a sunscreen. It may make a makeup slightly more opague, but it does not help it stay on. There are other film-former type ingredients which make Colorstay long wearing.
Re: An alternative to dermablend....
yes titamnium dioxide is a sunscreen but inhibits oils hence the product tends to be longer wearing.
Re: An alternative to dermablend....
That's great, but it's still the film formers in this product which make it last an eternity. I only posted about titanium dioxide so that girls wouldn't go out buying products containing it thinking that they were going to get Colorstay's longevity, as this common sunscreen is in MANY makeup formulations these days.
Re: An alternative to dermablend....
Hi Heather,
Where do we get Colorstay?
Thanks...Nola
Re: An alternative to dermablend....
Target, Walgreens, Wal-Mart. Any major retailer should have it in their Revlon section.
Re: An alternative to dermablend....
Where can I find covermark at? ;)
Re: An alternative to dermablend....
www.covermark.com
they don't tend to sell it in stores so you'd pretty much have to buy it off the website. excellent stuff though.
