Stretchmarks???
I want to start dancing but i'm afraid i might not have the body for it. I have a nice toned body, but for some reason i have stretch marks on my rear end. i know that all dancers aren't barbies, but would this turn customers off and prevent me from making decent money?

Re: Stretchmarks???
Probably not. Most girls have them, however some people's are more obvious than others. If in your case they are really obvious, you could always use makeup. If u buy it at a dept store I'm not sure how you will know exactly what shade to buy. But, if u buy from riteaid u can return it if it is not a good match.
I work with a girl who has a yucky tummy b/c of a baby. Evrything else about her is good though. She wears dresses and longer tops and little skirts and just scrunches the top or little dress around her stomach when she is stripping. Most customers have never even asked why she does not take it all the way off.

Re: Stretchmarks???
Makeup that matches your skin tone is a great idea, also where i live, at Walgreens as long as you keep your reciept, you can return anything pretty much except underwear. I have returned makeup i tried because it broke me out. Also at night before bed by an over the counter 5 to 8 percent alpha hydroxy lotion. let it dry completely before going to bed. This lotion, same family as retin a, but much weaker and with out a prescription. It helps the skin with cell turn over, and helps give the over all appearance of smoother skin. It is not a miracle product, but does help. I have a few stretch marks under my breasts, and use the lotion daily. Makeup while dancing. A BIG difference. I have since then moved up to retin a, which can be very irritating at first. Some people never stop peeling off skin and have to stop. I got used to it by using it only 3 nights a week, now once a night. Only under my breasts, it has helped. Also a self tanner can do wonders to hide stretch marks as well. I am a lover of an over the counter alpha hydroxy lotion during the day under makeup. And Retin a before bed. Good luck..Pamela :)

Besides, you should never under-estimate the camouflaging power of black lights. Black lights backed by a few rose or purple colored lights can make almost anyone look good. Strobes work even better (as long as you aren't epileptic).
