Health Insurance?
Does anyone know where I can find a good but inexpensive health insurance plan for myself. I currently have coverage, but the premium is going up 40 bucks a month as of December. I don't really need optical or dental, just medical. Any ideas where to start?

Re: Health Insurance?
Kizzie, I'm assuming you aren't a full or part-time college student because their health plans are usually pretty good and a bargain. First, I'd check your state's Blue Cross Blue Shield organization. They often have good plans available.

Re: Health Insurance?
Also, it helps to call health insurance brokers and ask about group rates, I know of some girls that got together and paid premiums but got hundreds of dollars deducted because there was more than the required amount for group deductions.

Re: Health Insurance?
In Massachusetts you can join an association for small businesses and qualify for group rates.
Check with various insurers for groups which qualify for group rates. You might ask an HMO and get some names even if you do not want an HMO. Most groups have multiple providers for different coverages.

Re:Health Insurance?
Thanks to all of you for your suggestions! Tonya_Jo, I ended up getting a pretty good rate through Nationwide. My rate went from 178/month to 109.00. You might want to check with them. Thanks again!
