Tipping out manager?
I have a question about tipping out the manager. The only thing we are required to pay is a small floor fee and a tip out to the dj. If a waitress or shotgirl gives me a lead on money, I will tip them out as well. Sometimes, the manager will tell me who is a good spender or when his friends come in his friends will get dances from me (whether the manager has anything to do with this, I don't know). Should I be giving him an extra amount or is it included in the house fee? (I highly doubt any other girl gives him extra).

Re: Tipping out manager?
Anytime i get a lead whether or not i can come through with it, i tip out. If it's the dj, barmaid, security or manager. Anyone who works the club gets an extra little something for bringing business my way. It will come back around at you again. One thing about the club workers (all of them,) they never seem to forget who tips often enough for favours.

Re: Tipping out manager?
You have to use your judgement on this issue, but a good general rule is that you tip anyone who helps you make money. If a club employee sends me a lead or helps me sell VIP or whatever, I tip them based on what I make from that customer (usually 10%). They remember and always help the girls who tip them. Some girls never tip the staff and will even tell customers not to - they are remembered as well and never get help or leads. Spend a little, gain a lot.

Re: Tipping out manager?
If someone helps you make money, tip them... period. If someone *tries* to help you make money, give them some sort of token tip and a sincere "thank you" to show them it was worth their effort because they will keep trying.
Maybe it is because I come frome a long line of casino people, but I have noticed that my tipping people definately puts me at the head of the line when it comes to who gets pointed in the direction of the spenders.

Re: Tipping out manager?
Sorry if I'm butting in where I don't belong. I'm pretty familiar with the club scene in Reno (but don't know if I know you, Veronika) and usually speak against tipping the manager. I'm not saying the staff, including floor men, don't deserve your appreciation for helping you earn more, but that don't include the club manager (or owner).
There was a manager at Fantasy Girls once who really intimidated the girls and was unfair in his scheduling and selective in his enforcement late fee charges (show up on time - 25.00, 15 min. late - 30.00, half hour late - 35, etc.). He practically demanded tip-out and made a big show of counting his money on the floor. I thought that was completely out of line. Not to mention the pressuring for sexual favors and other liberties he took. He was finally fired because over a dozen girls complained to the owner, Ed, at the time.
This manager moved on to Spice House and seemed to have changed his ways. He never seemed to care for me because I gave him a little bad press, but he did get a better write-up at Spice House. I noticed that he did have a group of girls who thought he was God's gift -- they got the majority of the VIPs and he could bring them in. But many of the girls didn't trust him.
Anyway, I think one of the jobs of a manager is to bring the business into the club and spread it around to those who work there. That's what they get paid for. If they do their job well, the owners will compensate him/her handsomely. Save your tips for the other staff, just like a restaurant, hotel, etc. Of course, be sure to thank the manager for making your work easier and be sure to pass these compliments on to the owners too.

Re: Tipping out manager?
In all my years as a "Manager" I have never recieved a tip from a dancer. Thats one reason I DJ as well as manage nowdays. Actually it's kind of bad form to tip the person who hired you and can ultimately fire you but I'm sure most managers who do expect/recieve tipouts don't see it this way.

Re: Tipping out manager?
My last shift I tipped the manager $40, DJ $28 and the doorman $20.

Re: Tipping out manager?
Correct DJ_WULF,
But any person who works the club sends me business, i tip. And the manager at one club goes nuts! I see him pointing guys to girls all the time who hand him a few $$$$$ in return for the favour. Naw...not bad form, just a kind thank you present, since strip clubs are about making money. :D Pamela
Also i agree with Itchy as well, however tipping the manager comes back at ya, flat rate or not. Go to the big guys thats my moto!!!!

Re: Ichy's mention of the Fantasy Girls situation, my understanding is that now you are not allowed to tip anyone there at all. Now I think I know why that might be.
