Experiences?
I've always thought that a number of Joe Satriani songs lend themselves well to a SC experience.
Yes I love Joe Satriani and was on a kick for the longest time back in the day for the music.
Also comes to mind Pamelas fave Enigma the first album the best.
Great for floor shows.
As well depending on your tastes but it brings to mind some cuts off of really old Pink Floyd, from the album Dark Side of the Moon.
Not quite instrumentals but...
WICKED strip club tunes if ya got a girl on stage who digs it enough to pull it off.
"One of These Days" by Floyd would really be great, provided that the dancer was into it and worked hard at pulling it off.
Floyd-Animals
PJ - I knew I would regret my wording lmao!!!!
Gotta love the Floyd, though, I LOVE PINK FLOYD!!!!!!
Beyond Floyd!
Beyond Floyd!
For as you all should know, I'm an aficionado.
For dancing:
'Careful with that axe, Eugene'; Obscured by Clouds;
'Absolutely Curtains; 'Interstellar Overdrive'; 'Pow R. Toc H.'; 'Terminal Frost'; 'Marooned'; The 'More' soundtrack.......
Just to name a few off-hand. ;)
Believe it or not, I wasn't including Floyd in my inquiry.
(It would be beneficial to note though, that there were no instrumental tracks on 'Animals'.)
O.K how about Meddle?
As you all must be aware, I am a techno lover, so I play a high proportion of instrumentals, since many of the songs have minimal lyrics, or none...
The average stripclub patron hears very few of the words being sung, generally having his mind emphatically elsewhere, so instrumentals are entirely in order.
Obviously songs like "Closer", or "Not Tonight (eat my pussy right)" are exceptions to the general rule, but when you can play a song about that most heinous of crimes, incest: "Jamie's Got a Gun", or spouse abuse: Nickelback's hard-rocking but disturbing "Never Again", and yet have the customers drooling, well, I rest my case, not that anyone's arguing...
Please, none of that. And much as we have regrettably fussed and fought in the past, we can all sure as hell agree about Pink Floyd! I just played "Young Lust" the other day for Katie, it's one of my favorites. I am also fond of "Pigs", and "Sheep" from the Animals CD, but since they do have lyrics, I'm getting off-topic again (What? Djoser getting off topic? Impossible!). Dark Side of the Moon is as likely, in my estimation, to be heard 500 years from now as Mozart.
I have actually been planning a multi-topic series on techno, in it's various manifestestions, and many of the tracks listed will of course be instrumentals. Tre, I hope you will not take offense that I put them there, and not here.
Since it is not techno, and is no less an instrumental than "Principles of Lust" (Those chanting Gregorians are a far cry from Kid Rock telling us all about his unlimited potency.), I will include what is in my estimation as sexy a song as is to be found. The Wicked Angel, Faith, tore up the stage to this on a regular basis, and even the rockers' jaws hung in suspense for the duration.
Delerium, "Terra Firma"
There is a female vocalist of unsurpassed power and auditory beauty, but there are no lyrics; her voice is used sparingly and effectively as an instrument. Those damned monks are at it again in the background as well, but again, no actual lyrics will be discerned. I feel sure that no one will find this track's inclusion here to be inappropriate...
Djoser
Geez, I'm going to have to dig them out and give them a listen it's been too long?
The sweet surf guitars of Gary Hoey have done well for me. As has Nerf Herder's "Buffy" TV theme song, as a lead-in accent to a Pantera / AcidBath set.
It seems to work well as an accent or a novelty. However, most crowds don't get into instrumentals quite enough to make them a staple.

Beyond that, no instrumentals.
No idea who did the original, sure Tre probably knows, but those lovely ghetto used to be devil worshipping now gone mainstream rappers aka 3-6 Mafia have a song called "Late Nite Tip". The words are cool, but I don't really do rap so I use the instrumental to this. The instrumental is from a song from the late 80s early 90s and it sounds really good. Everytime I use it everyone loves it. There's a link way at the bottom of the page if u wanna hear it.

A couple of my favorite instrumentals:
"Insomnia" by Faithless (though it does have *one* rapped verse, I consider it an instrumental)
"Da Funk" by Daft Punk (starts with a thumping bass groove, then they layer different synth effects on top of it)
Both of them are of the uptempo, techno variety.
What about Real life", Raven Maize?
