selling nicknacks
On my last strip club visit, a dancer asked me if I wanted to buy her underwear after my lap dances. I asked her for how much, and she said $40, then I politely declined. Is there really a market for this? Aren't dancer underwear expensive? I've also known dancers who sold posters, photos and other personal items before. Is this profitable?

Re: selling nicknacks
I personally only sell my g-strings to guys who ask, I never just come out and ask them. The g-strings that I buy cost anywhere between $10-$20, and I usually charge the customer double what I payed for them. So selling them for $40 a pair would be pretty profitable. I know that some features sell posters and other things with their photo on it, but I don't think it would be a good idea for the average dancer to have scantily clad pictures of her floating around town.

Re: selling nicknacks
ya that underwear thing - creepy but they sell! I have seen them on Ebay too! Lots of mail order stuff, ugh.
I have had guys wanting to buy my g-string (in Canada we call em a T-bar) but I never do - hell they are custom made and go with the Theme show costume! Costs $200.oo for your underset custom made, so I am pretty cranky about letting them go at any price! Hard to get remade - especially if they are in a particular color or beadwork etc that match just the costume they were made for. Sure doesnt stop the buggers from trying to steal em though....I have ran off stage after guys trying to leave the bar with my bra hanging out of their back pocket! >:(

Re: selling nicknacks
Guys do ask to buy panties alot and if they are made to go with a costume (which they usually are) I politely decline. I have however, sold my $3 Frederick's cotton thong I wore to work for $50. When I "retired" I sold almost all of my costumes to customers rather than other dancers. Hey, whatever floats your boat! :)

Re: selling nicknacks
I have sold panties with phone sex. But after the lawsuit the poor girl had to go through, i don't sell anything anymore. Alot of Phone sex companies have stoped as well. I tell you what though, before all that, i sold on naughtybids and made damn good money with panties and bras. Guess now i am afraid i will get a "copy cat" kinda guy and get sued. It is unsanitary after all, but men (some.) love them. I sold a lock of my hair to one guy. Boy what people won't buy. Polaroid pictures never bothered me.

Re: selling nicknacks
I have been asked for my panties and sold them occasionally - and garters too. Never offered, doesn't occur to me. I think guys know what they want to spend their money on when they come in to a club, and it's probably not clothes.

Re: selling nicknacks
I have been asked for my t-bars, but have never sold them. One female customer asked to buy my shoes awhile back. I wasn't going to do it but then she offered me alot more than I had originally paid for them!

Re: selling nicknacks
I was just on another site like this one called nakedtruth.ca and they had a posting about rookies buying boots and how to care for them...eventually as most threads do it segued into how funky vinyl boots can get if not properly cared for, one guy writes in that its a HOT commodity on EBAY to buy boots with established aromatic properties...OMFG, somebody stop the insanity LMFAO!!!
