If i am working in the particular club, and see activity outside rules, damn right i tell. Hey, i am not going down for someones behaviour inside the club, outside the rules. Take it to a hotel.
I have Turned them in before (and i am not the only one, but we don't get it much, cameras everyplace, Manangemant comes in usually i have noticed). I will get them thrown out again!
Sorry Thorn just saw your other 2 questions.
If you don't give it up it can't be had!
And ALOT of men want to go watch attractive women dance for them, and have nice conversation. There are still gentlemen out there, and they go to the clubs. Not all guys want or expect touching etc. I work in an upscale club, that is well run. And caters to mainly Aerospace engineers and doctors. The owner treats his ladies right.
Thorn,
I think you're wrong. Not because I think that prostitution is wrong - I've been there, done that. But it's wrong in the club, or in a clean club.
It's not necessary to attract customers. Guys have wild imaginations, and even if they've never known anyone who got anywhre with a dancer, they beleive the possibility is there, because that's what they want to beleive. Most of the time people will beleive what they want to beleive.
If one dancer does extra in the VIP, the rest of the girls tend to lose the customers that have had rooms with her. This recently happened in my club - there were a couple girls who were having sex in the VIP. They were there about a week before they got fired. Now a lot of guys think that a regular VIP room from a "clean" dancer isn't worth it.
Lena
Although it's not the most polite thing to say, a dancer who provides the "extras" you're implying is not nearly as attractive as a dancer who does not provide "extras" all else considered equal.
did I read your post correctly Thorn???
That many of the dancers in Canada are unionized?
UH NO-- they are NOT, at all, none, zero and zilch.
Now I was going to just read the the posts here and not respond, just seems a rehash of another topic on the general board, but noticing your error here, and now makes me wonder where you are getting your "information" and if it all holds as much water as this little piece of misinformation?? Sorta blows any credibility you might have held, and that was questionable at best.
I don't get it, he quotes most of us as wrong. " I should have said it this way". NO...I say it my way. If we see red and you blue...Does that not tell you something. We have OUR OWN opinions. And YOU can't change them, OR make us believe what you do. Because WE are not YOU.
He is a customer, not a dancer. It's like giving advice to people who LIVE the life, from someone who only frequents it.
What we have here is someone who is coming from the other side of the tracks. Advice is always welcome, i like it. Need it. But come on. Don't tell a dancer how to do her job, or what is going to happen to her future. Or anyone for that matter. It's just reads like "bad manners".
first thorn your 1 in 10 ratio on players to non players is way to low
2nd i have myself also worked in teh SOB industry
and i know that the girls who do out number the girls who dont
i also have noticed that those who dont make NO compromises its there way or the highway
Did i read that post right Thorn..."You HEARD me talking" ? "But that was some time ago"? Do you know me?
If so it's cool.
You know Thorn..Just a little advice. You say you want to learn.
1) Then stop the quotes.
2) And believe what we say.
3) And keeping your innerwise ass to yourself would make us more likely to chat with you.
Sorry, you just come across as wanting to disagree, and argue. Thats not cool.
Why in the hell would any one of us want to lie about our jobs? It's tough, it's not all sugar and spice, and some nights you just don't want to do it. There is some truths for ya.
And if you find us/this board amusing with what we go through every day, i pity you.
Thorn,
First you said that girls who do extra's help the economy of the whole strip club scene and we should appreciate them. I said you were wrong. Then you said that was why you brought it up, you wanted to know why it still happened. If that was what you wanted, you should have said that from the begining.
Then you backpedalled more and said you just want to understand. Well, if we had a dollar for every man that just wanted to understand us we'd be rich. Oh, but I forgot, you're an "insider" you "worked in the industry." So why don't you go try to understand some of those people you worked with? Because frankly most of us really don't give a shit about your understanding.
Oh, and now you want us to unionize. I'm not even going there.
Lena
Again I reiterate - there is no union for dancers ANYWHERE in Canada, INCLUDING BRITISH COLUMBIA.
I tour this country on a regular basis, and if the "facts" you are picking up are from the exploitive media I can easily see why you are so misdirected. You obviously misinterpreted the HBO program, misunderstood or only caught some of the info not all or perhaps there was TALK of a union but I am telling you here right now there is NO such thing here in Canada, at all.
If one were to believe everything the media puts forth on our industry . . . oh wait - THEY DO!
Another topic that roasts our ass because the decent girls the true entertainers in our industry do not make for "good copy" as it were. I shouldn't have to explain this now should I?
As well this forum isnt here for us to defend ourselves repetitively and one would question why you insist on pushing these issues?
There are a couple other fellas on here that insist on pushing the envelope with so many of us...to what end I do not know but it does get old real quick.
Negativity is just not welcome here, nor are negative blanket remarks and unfounded statistics pulled out of the air on a whim. Thats just plain ol irresponsible.
If you have a valid point - make it - backing it up with legitimate facts.
Please try to make the point and re read your post as though you were a dancer viewing it (walk a mile in our stilettos kind of thing...)
then reconsider posting it.
JUST MY OPINON.....girls....what say you?
In my opinion, there is no way to totally eliminate extras in a club unless the club personnel monitors the dancers. Some are strict about it and some aren't.
The root of this issue stems from the sexual hangups that are so prevalent in the US. make prostitution legal in every state as it is in some Nevada counties and guys who aren't interested in getting laid and just want a drfink will go to the clubs and the others will go to the brothels.
For that to work though, all clubs must have full bars.
I don't understand why a guy who is horny would go to a club looking for sex if he lives in a large city with an abundance of escorts and massage parlors. Isn't sex more comfortable in a bed ;D?
I agree with you, Tina. I believe prostitution should be regulated, not outright prohibited. Give licences and condition the brothels' operations to certain neighborhoods. Have the hookers get licences and regular checkups, too. That way true strip clubs will have the risk of extras, etc. greatly reduced.
As to your last observation I just think it's much more exciting getting off in a "strip club" (parentheses and all ;D).
I agree that prostitution should be legalized because I think law should only govern activities that could potentially encroach on other people's rights. An act of willful prostitution does not do this, and I feel if it was legal, the business of prostitution would be safer for the girls that choose that profession. However, in regards to extras in strip clubs, I think that having sex or giving oral sex in the VIP room can be construed as prostitution and should be stopped. Men should come to strip clubs for adult entertainment and those that want sex and the girls that are willing to give it can go someplace else.
That's the point of having prostitution regulated. That way there will be places for that and then those true blue strip clubs will have a far easier time looking after those who incurr in extras, as we all know it.Quote:

IMHO you come across as condescending.
I am going to suggest... its not been appreciated.
"It's called a dialogue." your words...
You can add all the "smiley faces" you want or: "(chuckling politely)" remarks you feel necessary - it still doesn't lighten the remark's intention.
If you are finding that some are getting "defensive" towards your postings you may want to re evaluate what or how you are posting?
And NO you aren't a "threat" as you mention in the closing of your post - soooooooooo NOT a factor.
I would say more of an annoyance - when you talk down to someone or "correct" their replies...you are bound to hear backlash.
Again, we shouldn't have to defend our selves on this board. Whether its spelling or a quote that has been reworded the way one someone else prefers to use it.
You say you are just helping them follow along, or schooling them in netspeak,
if you'll note that Pamela has been posting here with out any problem since Christ was a cowboy - you have been here for 80 posts and decide you can give her some heads up on netspeak?
Then you wonder why anyone is defensive?
C'mon, man.
Just lighten up and try to get along would ya?
I still stand by what I have said.
I also feel my defense of Pamela is valid.
You never posed any question when you "informed" the forum of the "union" in Canada.
I did not correct you on anything BUT that you were misinformed. I did not quote unfounded statistics etc nor did I attack you on your netspeak as you have others.
Please, again, go over your posts in the eyes of the majority that will read it....the dancers. Then read it AGAIN, then decide if it is a useful post.
You again insult by insinuating that the board merely entails "pleasantries and fawning".
I ask you again - do you not SEE where this can raise the ire of those that have posted very pertinent and valuable information?? Such as dangerous customer situations, club safety, laws and bills being voted on, helpful tips and points ETC!! AND we DO talk shop.
Yes we are very kind to one another, its not fawning, we really DO appreciate eachother.
I am going to let this go from here, if ya need the last word baby you got it I am moving on having made my point and defended my brethren.
sorry....i ususally miss this board
i haven; t a problem with girls who do extras OUTSIDE THE CLUB..i figure if your dancing for a guy and he turns you on , u click, whatever, and you want to sleep w/ him AND he's going to pay u for it...why not.....i am not referring to sleeping with any greasy trucker for the rent...
but i DO NOT AGREE with girls who perform extras INSIDE THE CLUB..it makes it look bad if they were ever raided and gives the girls a bad rep...and it makes it hard for the girls to make money who don't suck cock...it's just not fair dammit!
and believe me
once they, meaning the customers, get what they want...the money stops...the game is over
lol.
Thorn this thread should of been labeled "Why I (Thorn) prefer ladies who provide extras in the club."
I would take this poll more seriously if a DANCER had started this thread.
I think Holly has it right on here.Quote:

Once the john um, releases his tension, there will be no more dances/tips/drinks coming from him.
I don't even like giving multiple dances in a row... some guys will get too aroused and finish off in their pants (major ewwww)... gotta leave something for later. It's about fantasy and the buildup. If I know a mark has enjoyed himself, I'll excuse myself and come back later...
Actually, there was a dancer's union here in Ontario as well, although I have heard that it is now defunct. As a matter of fact, one of SW's long-standing members was one of the founders of that particular union. She doesn't really post anymore, though, so I am unsure how anyone would contact her.
McCain
McCain, when would that be? I am very familiar with the the group that puts out a flyer/newsletter etc advocating strippers "rights" n such, but there is no union, I would love to know how long ago this might have been? Before I started I am assuming and then before I started I hung out with veterans (learning the ropes, I worked my way in - who better to learn from?) and never was there mention of even the very existance of a union.
There was talk of such, as was in B.C. but it never went down...just talk is all its been. And the direction our industry is heading I know it will NEVER happen. What I m getting at is:
I know that many slower clubs actually recruit from the escort agencies and such, I got this information first hand from a manager who was shooting the breeze with me over the changes in our industry. It apparantly is common practice and explains WHY we cant seem to get management to take action on those girls doing the dirty in our clubs - it all began to make sense! Unionize dancers? I guess we'll be in the same group as the escorts, not only that how would anyone collect dues? Such a fly by night group as strippers can be.
WHEW!
ANYHOW!
Cest la vie, huh?
:)
Not sure how long ago it may have been, as I just arrived in Canada in December.
I don't know if you'll have any luck contacting her, but you can try PMing the SW member known as Torch The Witch. The last thing I heard was that she had recently moved away fromthe Ontario area.
If you look through old threads for her posts, you should be able to find references to her previous union involvements.
McCain
good idea I am intrigued. I have been touring Canada my entire career, know all the main features, and the pertinent clubs and never has this once come up. In any event thanks!
It totaly sucks the girls that do that stuff. Because is kinda does ruin it for those who don't, because they ask what u can do for them and if your not dirty, they get disappointed cuz "the other girl does it". And well they don't wanna spend the money then cuz they aren't getting the "x-tras". I mean screw em then but still its a pain in the ass. Its supposed to be a tease; a classy tease at that, and I do a fine job with all my dances with out any of the extras. But hey what can ya do??
