Lingerie Modelling
:P So what exactly goes on in there? Does anyone work in a Lingerie Modelling shop or know someone that does? I am looking for a part-time job and was thinking of dancing or this lingerie thing, just until my Massage Therapy business gets going. Any information would be appreciated!!!! Bad or good!

Re: Lingerie Modelling
:o well basically i want to know if it is safe? is it just a jack shack? those kind of things. ;D

Re: Lingerie Modelling
Well, in Boise, Idaho, "lingerie modelling" translates into 3-song lap-dances done in a private room of a lingerie/adult store, for which you set your own price, and where things may or may not get really out of hand. Some girls are very clean about it and still make great money, others provide all kinds of extras for only $30.
In Atlanta, GA in the 90's, there was actual photography going on in some places. In otherplaces, it was - essentially - a "jack shack".
Never done it myself, but have had PLENTY of friends who had first hand experience. Looked into it quit e a few times, thought about it, but never could quite commit.

Re: Lingerie Modelling
Every one I've ever heard about in the Northeast has a whole lot more than modeling going on!
-
Re: Lingerie Modelling
I was wondering about those places too, here in San Diego they have on called Risque Lingerie, and i thought about working there but I was put off by the fact that the customers get to photograph you! I dont like the thought of someone leaving the establishment with my picture actually in his hand!

Re: Lingerie Modelling
thanks you guys/gals for your input. i would be working in Portland, and if you don't know, they have the most sex shops/clubs/etc. in the US, or some crap like that. anyways, the laws here i guess are pretty ummm open. there are a lot of sex industry workers here. i am guessing i would be doing private shows and the rest is up to me.....letting the guy get "comfortable",? i don't know. i will have to check out a few shops and see if i can find something that i feel safe and good about. :-*

Re: Lingerie Modelling
Hiya, I'm in Portland, and though I dance in clubs I've got some friends who do the jack shack thing. One of my friends used to work for one place that still owes her about $400 from credit card payments they haven't given her. Unfortunatly I can't remember which place this is... I'm gonna give her a call within a few days 'cause I've been considering doing it, too, so I'll write down the info and post it.
From what I know, the modeling joints here have about the range of the clubs - there's a lot of decent places to work, without extras, where you can make some decent money, but there's also some that you really don't want to set foot in unless you're into the idea of working in a brothel. And from what I can tell, you can't necesarily tell them apart just by walking in.

Re: Lingerie Modelling
Okay, I talked to my friend last night, and here's what I learned:
Aja's, downtown above Dante's, is decent. I seem to recall they stopped booking my friend because they had too many small brunettes and wanted more blondes, though. (that was months ago, so if you're a small brunette I'd try it anyway. point being, they try for a diverse bunch of girls and if there's a lot of whatever you are there, you may not be able to work much. which makes sense.) The owner was having some legal problems, so I'd speculate that there's not a lot of extras going on at the moment for fear of vice coming in.
My friend refered to the G-Spot and Pleasure Palace as "the evil empire". I didn't get all the details of that mess out of her, but I gather it's not a happy place to work. Those people own one other shop too, but I can't remember which one it is. The strip clubs mags (Exotic and SFX and that new one..) should be of use, as the ads cover all three places.
I can't remember the name of the other place she recomended, but it's on 82nd and Hawthorne. No glowing praises, but no complaints of nastyness or lack of payment, either.
Oh, another thing: She told me that all the places she's worked in PDX except one make you bring your own stereo or boom box for the music. So if you've only got a nice system at home, or none at all, you might want to ask about that before you go running around to all the joints.

Re: Lingerie Modelling
They are a bad deal!!!
In some cities they guys feel ripped off as he gets naked, with a box of kleenex next to him and the girl dances with minimal contact for him.
Guys don't like that as they go into thoseplaces for sex and if sex isn't available they spead negative publicity.
Other places like that like in Houston charge a flat rate of $200-$240 for full service.
You will have to sit around waiting for the doorbell to ring and may not have many customers.
If you are down with selling your body, give it a shot. If not, why not just dance in a club?

Re: Lingerie Modelling
Why not just dance in a club? Hm... here's my reasoning:
1. I'm sick of hustling. I've been dancing in clubs for a year, and I'm getting burned out. However, I still need to make money, and I fully intend to return to the clubs after a short break. But I need some money.
2. I'm sick of men coming into my clubs with no intention of buying dances or tipping more than a buck. When guys come into a lingerie modeling joint, they know there's no free show.
3. I have regular customers from the clubs who would love nothing more than to jack off while watching me dance. Well, okay, there are things they'd love more. But they'd like it, and they'd pay me for it.
4. the money (Hm... noticing most of this centers around money...) my friend is making is more than she made working in the clubs with me. In fact, her "normal" day is more than twice my "normal" day in the clubs. There are, of course, dead days where no one comes in, but you get those in clubs, too. I will never forget the time I had to pay my fees out of my own pocket, plus the taxi to and from the club, simply because we had no customers.
5. It doesn't hurt anyone to try it out for a day. If you hate it, no one will force you to go back. If you can tollerate it, awesome.
6. I've been considering trying out dominatrix work, and these shops sometimes *not always, but sometimes* provide light domination and humiliation for a higher fee. It seems like a low-risk way for me to try that kind of thing out without investing in a ton of toys and equipment and having to deal with the pro-doms already working in this town. If I did try it and like it and was good at it in this limited environment, I could go to them and ask for training and such, but if I hated it I wouldn't have to go find another place to work immediatly, I could just stop doing that kind of show.

Re: Lingerie Modelling
Thank you Orchid for all of your kind input! Hopefully we will both be working somewhere in this town, and actually enjoy it! I don't see anything wrong with NOT wanting to JUST dance in a club, you have options. I have thought about dom work also, it seems so perfect, no sex, you are in charge, etc. ;D

Re: Lingerie Modelling
Of course, always glad to help out if I can. :)
Let me know where if you start doing it, and how it goes. I'm curious. I can't start for another week or so as my cat got a nasty batch of fleas (now gone, thank goodness!) which bit my back up something awful, so I'm waiting for that to heal before I try to make people pay to look at me again. And I'm in the midst of moving and blah blah blah.. but soon. I'm going to get together with my friend probably on Saturday and talk more about it with her.. in fact, she's working that evening, so I may just go pick her up from work and check out the scene. :)

Re: Lingerie Modelling
Hi all, just a word about Domination work. I have witnessed a few shows (friends of mine are into it,) and you do make arrangements before hand about what will be done to the sub. Alot of Dom's will have a man masturbate and cum before the session, because it's supposed to make the pain even greater. I have done light Dom work to a few guy friends before and they really are into the Cane, cock and ball torture ect. It can get pretty hardcore at times. And if he says i will go for 60 non stop canes and he's yelling in major pain alot of women have stopped i hear for fear he is having a heart attack or just can't take it. Only to get blacklisted as being a bad Dom. If you really want to get into Dominance and Submission there is alot involved. Some guys wil tell you upfront NO safe words...wow!
A book i recomend is "Screw the roses, send me the thorns.
Just some input, of what i have experienced. Pamela ;)

Re: Lingerie Modelling
I've got friends who do/have done pro-dom work, so I have a rough idea of what can be involved in it. I also do SMBD in my personal life, though until my current relationship I had mostly been submissive, the reactions I get by topping my boy are just too good to not do it.
I think doing it in a lingerie modeling shop would probably be a lot tamer than a normal 'dungeon' environment, simply because of the fear of vice coming in. I don't think (but I haven't investigated this, so please don't quote me and correct me if I'm wrong) that much CBT would be allowed in there, as that would most likely involve my touching the client's genitals.
Like I said, I'm mostly interested in investigating this and seeing if I'd actually enjoy doing it at all, which is part of the allure of working in a 'modeling' place - the chance to try it out without investment or commitment, with an easy way out if it turns out to be something I'd rather not do for work.

Re: Lingerie Modelling
I worked in this biz about 6 yrs ago in Florida. My experience was that I stayed away from the guys (no contact and out of "jizz range" after a point, and they jacked off. You negotiate articles of clothing and step out and run the credit card as you go. it's great if you need to study in between clients (same with domination). you can get a lot done in between and I'd make $80-$190 NOT doing anything illegal except maybe feigning touching myself to get someone OUT the door (they pay for a 30 minute session, but if they come in 3 minutes, your paid in full and free to go). however now it seems more dangerous and sleazy and like more girls are getting arrested.

Re: Lingerie Modelling
When I lived in Corpus Christi, I worked in one of those shops almost the whole time I lived there (about 6 years ago). I made much better money there than in the clubs, though I worked both at the same time. The modeling shop was nice because we had a lounge with tv/vcr, laundry, microwave, stereo, table and chairs, games, cards, etc. We waited for customers to come in and set the doorbell off, then lined up behind a window for the guy to pick who he wanted to go back with. Usually they would take a couple minutes to ask us a couple questions (trying to see which personality he liked), then the girl he picked would take his entrance fee and show him to her room. We had really good security with a giant red panic button on the wall in each room. There were no locks on the doors so security could get in there fast if we needed them. What went on in the room was basically between the guy and the girl. The guys paid $70 at the door and the girls got $20 of that for half an hour and we got tips in the room. They had an atm and a credit card machine.
Some girls were fucking/sucking for only the $20 cut of the door fee, some charged extra prices for extra services, and some just did an erotic show while the guys jerked off. I brought toys, oils and lotions, sexy music like Sade (not club stuff). You get regulars who like your look, shows, personality just like in a club. Not all the guys who go there require sexual favors. The guys usually tipped before starting the half hour. Sometimes I would have to dance for a half hour for only the $20, but those guys were the ones who expected sex and never picked me again. Most of the time I got tipped and they usually ran from $40-$100 per session.
Once in a while a new guy would come in with just the door fee, not knowing the deal, and would be clearly distraught that he didn't bring enough to tip me and would often become good tipping regulars. I had more than a few guys who would come and get multiple sessions, tipping every time. I learned how to stretch the time for those who enjoyed a more leisurely experience with massages and using my own toys, turning it into 2, 3, 4 sessions with tips. For the guys who clearly just want to get off, you learn to find the right buttons and let them cum quickly so you both can be on your way. Some guys were just dying to spend 'quality' time with a pretty girl, and would tip well to massage you with lotion/oil before getting down to the show. Most of these guys were not club customers, or certainly not club regulars. They were either not into the club scene or were professionals who didn't want to be seen in a club.
If you have some club regulars you know would enjoy seeing you in this environment, that would give you a good jump on getting customers, and could also help you get hired if you tell the manager you'll bring in some of your club customers. This is a whole different ballgame from club dancing, but can be very good if you can handle it. Some girls may not be able to handle dealing with guys with their weenies out, but believe me, those guys know you have security and unlike club customers who seek out extras, most of these guys are more private and don't want to be caught with their pants down so they generally don't try anything stupid. You just have to gently make sure they are aware of the fact that there's security on the premises before you get started.
This type of business offers you alot more possiblities than club dancing. If you are trying to get into massage, you can practice on some of your customers - most of them will be more than willing. You might even get a few massage customers from it. And you can experiment with other activities like Dom/sub, and once in a while you'll get someone who's a bit more kinky. Like closet cross-dressers and role-players. I had one regular who always came in wearing women's lingerie underneath his regular clothes, and liked to play like we were girlfriends and have me put makeup on him and stuff. I had another who liked for me to treat him like he was my 'bitch', and tried to get me to agree to fuck him with a strap-on if he brought the strap-on. That last one was a bit too much for me so we never did that, but he enjoyed having me treat him like a 'bitch' and verbally abuse him while 'making' him jerk off in front of me. If you enjoy experimenting with eroticism other than vanilla sex, you can build a good customer base in this business without ever engaging in actual sex.
The best thing is, you have the potential to make some really good money in a place like this, and when you aren't with a customer you can just hang out, study, etc in a relaxed environment instead of walking back and forth in a club with nothing to do.
Good luck! Just make sure you go to a reputable place with good security :)

Re: Lingerie Modelling
We had a lingerie modeling store in my town called "Temptations". It was only open for about 6 months. There wasn't any modeling going on I guess. Just full sex, blow jobs, etc.
I agree about finding a place that has good security and a good reputation.

Re: Lingerie Modelling
A word about the domination bit from a pro/lifestyle domme:
-You're going to get guys that are very GREEN or outright psycho masochists. ('No safe words' are an obvious sign of this.) They're going to drive you crazy because they don't know what they want, or what they want will potentially get them killed/you in jail.
-Don't let sub tell you how it's done for the above reason.
-No clue where the 'pre-jack' idea came from, I've never heard of this till now. Most subs will ask for 'release' after a session because the session gets them excited. I'd only consider making a guy pre-jerk it for some cbt (or as punishment), but most will get hard all on their own, so it's really unnecessary. (And I've never heard about it making anything more sensitive that isn't already sensitive to begin with.)
-For some sessions you *will* need to have toys (decent, not expensive) because asking a sub to bring their own is a clear sign that your new. (There's exceptions to this rule, but that's in cases of cleaniness or something being a 'favorite toy.')
If you want to do some reading, anything by Jay Wiseman, Claudia Varrin, Mistress Lorelei, or Lee (Bridgett) Harrington is a good deal.
