Yes, I have in fact noticed it! And more power to them...I enjoy female customers that come in to have fun! ;D
Yes I started to notice more women in clubs as of about 4 years ago I guess.I don't think many clubs or dancers welcome women either. I was in an upscale club in FL recently with my boyfriend and some friends and couldn't believe how poorly we were treated. Outright ignored for the most part.
I was surprised as being a dancer myself for sometime I know the signs of couples that will cause trouble and couples just looking to have some fun and we looked like a small ,no hassle group wanting to spend $$$$.
We were at the bar, waiting for a table and tipping and still got the cold shoulder from every staff member and dancer in the place. Guess in this poor economy they didn't think our money was green enough :-\ Too bad for them too as we were celebrating something that night and had plans of buying many dances and champagne, but hell it took 20 min to get a drink from the bar, with the bartenders just walking right past me everytime and I was holding up a $100 bill the whole darn time :o We finsihed our drinks and left to spend our money elsewhere .
Ok sorry litle vent ;D I was just discussing this subject elswhere and its on my mind!
Yes I've really noticed the difference lately too. I think it's a beautiful thing! :D It's less taboo these days. I love it!! I say Keep em' coming in!! ;D
My main haunt has really seen an increase in women clientele so much so that they implimented a "2fer Couples Night". In the last dozen or so times I have been there there has always been at least one female patron.
It was always a female accepting place, but its more so now. The only downside is when a female gets a lap dance, there are always a bunch of idiots leering into the lapdance area hoping for a free show (which they dont get, due to the "hands at the side" rule and "no skin on skin" rule, which are strictly enforced).
Personally, I think I would enjoy having a female as my SC companion far more then a male, even if she was just going for the fun of it, and wasnt specifically into girls.
well I'm guilty of contributing to your "new clientele". LOL...im a female customer who probably goes a little more than your average female customer...but hey..i have A LOT of fun, so why wouldnt i continue to go. My guy friends dont dare go without me now. they say they get more pleasure watching me get a dance then buying a dance for themselves. haha..so im not complaining. I enjoy the perks of being a female customer. and the dancers seem to enjoy my presence as well, cause they know I'm there to have a good time. At first they'll be a little cautious, cause we're "college kids", but i make sure to go up and tip at the stage, so they know I'm approachable. and once that works...I'll start buying dances and drinks (for the dancers, I can't because I'm only 20 >:( )
I'm even planning on visiting SheDevil4260 at her club. It should be fun ;)
yay I can't wait to meet ya Trix!!!! :-*
At my club last week a couple who looked like they were in their late 20's/early 30's were sitting right next to the stage - the girl was right at the edge of the stage literally dancing her ass off to the music - she was smiling, OBVIOUSLY having the time of her life. She had obviously NOT been forced into going there...they had a HUGE stack of money visibly sitting right out on their table and were throwing it liberally onto the stage.
As soon as I saw them I approached them and they told me they had been there doing the same thing for about two hours and I was only the 2nd dancer in all that time who approached them. Even the dancers who were being tipped onstage weren't coming up to them after they got off stage! I ended up dancing for both of the them for a couple hours and they compensated me well!
That same night I danced for another couple (kinda weird since these were the first couples I've seen in this club since I've worked there). The girl was a former dancer so she was respectful and they tipped me well also. I think that they saw me dancing with the other couple and they were having the same problem with not being approached so they asked me to do it for them.
Between the two couples, they made my night that night. I understand the reasons a lot of dancers don't like female customers but right now with our economy and everyone being so tight I won't ignore female customers or couples.
ps. I do feel compelled to add that a female customer came up to me (and subsequently a bunch of other dancers) FIVE minutes before the club closed (a different night than the one mentioned above) and offered me $100 to "eat out" her female friend. Can you believe it???
On the weekends there are alot of couples at my club. Alot of the other girls don't like dancing for them because the female customers only get a dance or two. But I have been pretty lucky I get one or two couples into the vip booths for multiple hours every weekend. Mostly the women are curious about bisexuality, and the husband/ boyfriend urges them to try it out by spending some time in the booths. And by being the persuasive half lesbo I am I try and convert as many of the female customers I can to be at least open minded.
After spending a few hours in a booth with a couple it always ends up with them asking me to go to a hotel or come home with them. I NEVER accept.
The real difficulty with the couples scene in strip clubs is that it's SO difficult to figure out where they're coming from. Some couples consist of a girl who is not exactly thrilled about being in the club, leading to potential altercations if a dancer is too "up close and personal" with her guy. Some couples consist of bi-sexual girls who are trolling for extras in the club and/or threesomes after hours. Some couples are simply there to have a good time, tip generously, and buy a few private dances. But for dancers it's very difficult to "read the telltale signs" with couples the same way we have learned to with single guys. "Reading the telltale signs" wrong can lead to nasty incidents in the VIP room at one extreme, versus devoting a lot of time and attention to the couple in return for only one or two private dances in the other extreme.
You would think that the cases where the girl of the couple is an (ex) stripper would be easier to deal with. But in fact I find couples where the girl is an (ex) stripper to be more complicated. I tend to assume that as an (ex) stripper that the girl knows the score in regard to club interactions between guys and dancers such that by simply being there she is giving her permission for her guy to get the same "treatment" as single guys. This is sometimes true, but sometimes VERY NOT TRUE, which can lead to some very nasty incidents. It's also very hard to figure out what sort of interactions between the (ex) dancer herself and club dancers are acceptable, stemming from "putting on a show" for her guy to actually looking for lesbo extras.
Personally I like interacting with couples on a superficial level, but from a business standpoint couples seem to increase the chances of something bad happening and also seem to reduce my income potential versus spending the same time and effort with single guys.
It's great that "the wall" is coming down! A couple of years ago it seemed that the women coming into the clubs in my area were doing so to almost make themselves feel better, they would sit in a group and make snide comments every time a dancer would walk by,you know the type, almost like they were trying to provoke the dancers. Over the past year or so it's definately turned into a more accepting crowd! Guys buying dancers for the girls or couples getting dances. I took one girl to VIP for a dance and four of her girlfriends came to watch!
Hmmm. I wonder if a strip club in a major city could be a couples-only strip club. Only man-woman couples allowed in. Hmmm. Probably would extend that to woman-woman couples but not man-man couples. Then again, if they had both male and female strippers...
Anyone ever hear of a club that tried to go this route?
A likely problem with such a club could be couples coming there and expecting it to be a swinger's club ... with the swinging being done by the strippers and them. Then again, it could be a swinger's club but just between customers and the patrons blatantly told not between them and the strippers.
Thoughts?
The only clubs I know of that are couples-only here in Vegas are swingers clubs, byob, complete with private "VIP" rooms with beds and lotions on the side table. You must be male/female companions to enter. They have "dancers" working in them...
When I am not working myself..I too go to strip clubs..But a lot of the time I have to bring a male friend, since some clubs still will not allow unescorted women to enter. In most of the clubs we go to the girls know me and have no problem dancing for me.
I had a couple last weekend. The woman approached me and bought a dance for her husband. While dancing for him I whispered in his ear and asked if she was going to be jealous if I gave him a good dance. He responded that he'd buy her a dance if she was jealous! So he did. She loved it and we wound up in the champagne room for an hour.
