LOL Diana.. I couldn't really choose just one of those, (I do them all, except for the plastic surgery), but I managed to. I picked excersize. Not only does it help me keep in shape, but I feel totally invigorated afterwards.

excercise. i try to do it every morning for a minimum of an hour.
i try to eat healthily too. I have improved a lot (I eat natural) but enjoy a choccy treat now and again.
I have to say all of the above..

In brief: jump rope, squats, floorwork for legs and ass, situps, push ups, chin-ups and lots of stretches for the body (particularly for working towards the splits). To do all of that takes me 2 hours which I normally can afford thankfully because I'm an early riser.
I'm a home excerciser so it's easier to do it first thing in the morning.
I try to do Tae Bo at weekends but I've been lazy with it - it KILLS my muscles!!
;) I do many of the things listed, but I don't think the guys that go to my club consider all the work we do before we go to work.
When I tell them I work from 11pm-8pm they say I'm so lucky to start work late....well, I have to go to the gym, get my outfits together, eat breakfast, shower, shave, put on makeup, dry and curl hair, put on lotion all over, I could go on and on. There is also plastic surgery, hair coloring, getting nails done, shopping for sexy outfits--okay that is not always work, lol!
In Texas you don't always make more money just because you look better than another girl. Many times a homely, out of shape girl is making more because she does more, Extras

I like to change my look a lot. I've worked at the same club a while and guys who come in all the time get used to a girl and move on after awhile(ever notice new girls make crazy money and then it tapers off) so I'll add some streaks to my hair(blonde red purple whatevever) then go back to black then light brown or blonde...I put a good bit of money and effort into my outfits too. A new flattering outfit brings in a good ampount of extra money it's first few nights.
Ooh, I love Tae-Bo also.. I do that at least every weekend, sometimes during the week, depending on how wiped out I am when the baby goes to bed.. lol..Quote:

Also, I watch "Ellen" everyday. She had Britney Spears on yesterday. Now, although I can't stand the girl, she does have a great bod. Ellen asked her what types of exercises she did to keep in shape. She demonstrated this sequence of situps that she does every morning, and believe me, you feel the burn.. LOL
All the above would be great! But i only do a few.
1) exercise
2) sleep
3) Eat Healthy
And change my style of clothing, as well as wear my hair different.

NAIL OR HAIR SALON .... once a month I'll have a "deluxe manicure and pedicure". I like to have this deluxe treatment especially before and after really BIG weeks (ie Indy, XMass/New Years..etc).
MAKE UP ONLY .... nope.. not really. I go for a more natural look instead of "glam".
SHOPPING .... since I love wearing costumes (not just outfits) there always gets a point where one costume get worn out (either literally or in the sense that I don't like it anymore) so having a new costume does work for me.
COSMETIC SURGERY ... nope. I pride myself on the fact that I'm 100% natural.
EXERCISE ... Winsor Pilates. I spend from 20 minutes to an hour three times a week just to maintain my flexibility and keep myself toned. I also walk or bicycle to the shops or wherever if I can instead of using my moped motorcycle ("Blowfly").
SPA ... I would love to pamper myself at a Day Spa one day.. one day.
BEAUTY SLEEP ... YES! I have trained myself to sleep, sleep and sleep some more (without over-sleeping) one day a week so that I only need 5 hours sleep with 30-60 mins nap on every other day. That one day a week is MY day.. I call it my "I fell off the face of the earth" day. No friends, no returning phone calls.. it is all about me.
EAT HEALTHY ... well.. I eat better than some of the other dancers at my club however I am far from perfect in this area.
have you ever tried those stripper videos I was thinking of buying one to try some new moves.
as to the style it also depends on where you work ...big clubs in large cities are very competative ...everyone is trying to get into them. The girls are usually great hustlers , that is why every detail matters.

I would hope as dancers..we all would be working on most of those things.

Cosmetic surgery...I am doing the boob job..I have to wait 6 months..after breast feeding...I went for a consult and YES..damn it..won't touch me for at least that long..thanks for the heads up to one of the girls on here for the info..YES it's true :(
I uses fake tanner..neutrogena works for me..SPF 15..on my face..everyday!!
Make up..YES! False eyelashes too when I'm working.
I get at least 8 hours sleep a night.
Ok ...as for exercise..I should do more...I am naturally super thin..but that does not mean..I am in tip top shape..I have a home gym and electric tread mill..which I should use MORE...
I eat pretty healthy ..I could do better..I do take CALCIUM..Important! NO drinking or smoking for me.
As far as spa's...I do my pampering at home..facials (lol)...you know what I mean. Salt scrubs and other spa stuff..my hubby usually buys me small at home spa stuff... at the local mall.
PLUS..Emotionally...I come here to release and relate to everyones experiences.

MAKE UP ONLY make-over once per month at Sephora or Neiman Marcus to keep my look fresh & interesting
SHOPPING as needed I have a large store of costumes/jewelry etc built up & I make costumes myself..My biggest splurges are shoes (also 1/2 the reason I'm a stripper!!)
COSMETIC SURGERY -- none except quarterly chemical peel for body/face
EXERCISE -- in theory 3-4 times a week but it cycles in and out
SPA one full day session every quarter w/ a colon cleanse and body wrap
BEAUTY SLEEP I can only sleep 4-6 hours when I'm working..during the week when I'm not working I can sleep all day though
EAT HEALTHY I have very little appetite when I'm working but when I'm not I eat mostly healthy----ok I'm lying I'm on my second box of milkduds right now!

I do most of the things in the poll except for getting my nails done, cosmetic surgery, and going to the spa. I polish and file my nails at home. I don't bother going to the nail salon because long nails always get in the way for me and they don't really make a difference in my income. I've never had cosmetic surgery, but if money were no object, I would get breast implants (I have natural 36C's which aren't as perky as I'd like them to be due to gravity and weight loss) and collagen in my lips (my upper lip is very thin-almost non-existent unless I use lipliner and lipstick). I would like to go to a day spa sometime but I haven't done so yet.
I don't spend a ton of money on dancer outfits, but I replace them as soon as they get old or worn out. I color my hair and get it trimmed every couple of months. I go tanning 2 or 3 times a week. I walk on my treadmill 4 or 5 times a week and lift weights 3 times a week. I also do sit ups, leg lifts, and butt exercises. I try to eat healthy, but I could be a lot better in that department. Lately I've been really bad-I've been eating way too much McDonald's and Taco Bell lately. Generally I try to eat fast food no more than once a week though. :)
I forgot to mention that I love to sleep! :zzz: I try to get at least 8 hours of sleep a night, sometimes more. I'm a night owl and I hate to wake up early.
I never realized how much stuff us dancers have to do to keep ourselves looking good! A couple of my non-dancer friends have commented to me that it seems like I'm always tanning or exercising, and I guess I do spend a lot of time doing those things. I try to still have a life though. lol :)
i cardio and tone for an hour a day + in the evenings i do pilates.....it relaxes me i give myself manicure and pedicures although it would be great to be pampered by someone else, i mostly eat fruit veg lean meats fish and salads i always make sure i have brekkie, my hair is done at a salon...died blonde long and kept healthy...regular conditioning treatments a must...i always wear sunscreen and i fake tan...alot of sleep aswell. although i do smoke and i love my coffee (the only down falls) and once a fortnight i will allow myself something yumm....i usually go for a mega muffin!.....yummmmmm.
i eventually would love breast implants and i hav some varocose veins i want to get done.....due to having to kids
so there you go

I can't pick just one... so here goes... WATER, WATER, WATER.. I drink a ton of it, flavor it with lemon or lime juice... sleep, at least 7 hours but sometimes I can't get that much in. I also take good care of my skin... don't go to bed with makeup and I give myself weekly facial treatments.
For my body, lots of squats and situps and I limit my carb intake, and eat at least two salads per day with a vinegrette dressing only. Once per month I do go to a Spa and have a herbal body wrap done to detoxify my skin and flush it out. These have helped me tremendously, as I tend to retain water during that time of the month.
Hair- I use a lot of mayo in my hair for a deep conditioning.. I straighten my hair daily when I work and the heat kills it, but by doing a twice weekly mayo treatment in my hair (I know, it sounds gross, but it really does work like a magic wonder pill for your hair, its so soft and shiny afterwards... just make sure you do it on a day where you don't work-it will be greasy and you have to wash it a few times to get it all out)
As for nails, I do a lot of pole work so my nails are short, I tried doing the long nail thing and I kept breaking them.. and I just decided to skip them... no one seems to notice :-) but I do keep them nice and trimmed and polished with a clear polish.
Boob job--oh boy what a topic. I want one, as after you have children, they do tend to sag a bit, but I'm still debating on it. Doing some exercises first to see if that helps, I will make a decision in a year after I take my after picture...
I keep my outfits fun and simple and always different... I wear colors that most of the girls at my club don't ..... lime greens and lots of deep red colors, emerald green and things that make me stand out a bit more.
Water is really the key... especially for skin and hair.
Well i do a few of those..... hair and nails and beauty sleep is still priority for me, i also love makeup ..... when i was hostessing in a club i did a few more on the list.
LOL gynger you do the mayo thing too! i do this also and swear by it. I will use hair mayo from the beauty supply store and add egg to it.... if i dont have any i will still mix egg in to a deep conditoning treatment and leave it on my hair all day....... do this once a week for a month and your hair will look and feel great!Quote:

As far as the question, I do them all. My most importantly I excercise and drink plenty of water. I live in a very hilly area, my girlfriend and I run every morning. I also enjoy cycling,pilates and yoga.
I get my hair dyed whenever my roots start to show. I get a bimonthly manicure and pedicure. I have had my breast done and teeth whitened.
I use a self tanner and go to the spa monthly for a facial and a massage.
I also keep my wardrobe filled with fresh new clothing.
