LOSE WEIGHT FAST
obviously there is no quick fix and I do work out consistently but my question is...do any of you know of any specific work-out or fad diet where you can lose weight really fast? I would like to lose no more than 5-8 more pounds and I want to do it by NEXT WEEKEND!! Has anyone ever tried anything that worked to lose weight very quickly?? Any suggestions would be helpful.....thanks

Exercise...plenty of water...eating healthy and proper proportions. You'd be surprised at what that'll do.
Those fad diets don't work. You'll lose the 5-10 pounds in one week and then as soon as you get off the diet, you will gain the 15-20 back. Just do what I said above...permanently...and you'll be better off in the long run.

If you are looking for a quick way to lose weight many girls that I work with have said that the 3 day diet works! I personally haven't tried it, but you can find it on hope this helps

u can lose 2-4 lbs in water just by sweating alot. I have 2 older brothers that both used to wrestle in high school and college and when they had to lost a couple lbs right before a match they would turn the shower on hot,close the bathroom door and ride the excercise bike. It's a quick fix...since it's just water weight u will prolly gain it back the next day. o yeah and u have to wear really heavy layers of clothing while doing this.

When a person loses weight, the first few pounds are fluid (excess water), not fat and you lose inches before you lose pounds so keep that in mind. You might want to try diuretic pills (water pills) to pull off a couple pounds.

i went on a no-carb diet for 3 days. after the 3 days i lost 7 freakin pounds- no BS- but you cant eat much. for 3 days i lived on

-oranges
-tuna
-salad

beachblonde...i did the atkins thing for a while...and you could really tell. around my stomach, my legs, and even in my face! the only thing is that i became upset one day and broke the diet... :( so i need to get back on it!

I did Atkins for four days and lost seven pounds, but gained it back FAST when I stopped.

The thing with atkins is it shouldnt be used as a diet because it will come back if you start to pig out (like I have done before)
If you mess up, just start where you left off. Its obvious you wont gain by 10 lbs in a day of cheating.
You must do the thing correctly, and for a long time if you want the weight to stay off.
Its great I lost 7 lbs in a week, but remember, like Nicety said, its mainly water at first. (Who the hell wants excess water in them anyway???) ;)

beachblonde- yes it was obvious. i looked less "bloated" because i had lost lots of water weight. i looked thinner all around, fresh, like i had been on vacation or something. excess carbs make your body hold onto water.

The key is balance. Atkins, in my opinion, stresses that carbs are not needed. But, your body uses carbs for fuel. Learn how to eat BALANCED meals and you won't have to worry about any stupid fad diet. A serving portion of carbs is the size of YOUR palm...eat that with a serving portion of protein (they help each other break down). Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water per day. For each cigarette you smoke, caffinated tea, coffee, or pop you drink you need to drink one extra glass of water.
Taking diuretics to lose weight is plain foolish. You dehydrate your body...and that can lead to more serious complications.
But, you do what you want...it's your body. If you want to be healthy, then eat healthy and stay away from the fad diets.

Atkins isnt a fad diet. Some people treat it like one, and they gain the weight right back. Atkins stresses WHITE carbs like bread, sugar, pasta, potatoes...etc...
He says veggies are good and u can have them from the beginning if you arent too heavy. Then you can start to add fruits later on, and you can also have a potato or two in a week.
The food pyramid is a joke. 11 servings of carbs? And the bad kinds, too. Geez, I have 5 servings and I gain weight.
Atkins is not for everyone though. I cant have too many carbs anyway or I gain weight. I believe Seraya said the same thing

Yes hun i agree with you.... Atkins does NOT by any means tell you to eliminate carbs from your diet..... only the processed white shit.
There are many phases to this diet and the first phase is the strictest, which is to cleanse your blood.
Anyway i'm repeating myself AGAIN lol... i have said sooo much about this diet in other threads.... I say read the book first.
