I'LL NEVER WORK A HOLIDAY IN HOUSTON AGAIN
I WILL NEVER WORK A HOLIDAY AGAIN. At least in a city like Houston, where it is ALL about the regulars, for the most part only the losers who have NO one else to spend their time with, including on Christmas, New Year's Eve, and Valentine's Day...only the losers with no family and no money go to strip clubs.
The local losers go there with $20 in their pocket, expecting that the dancers that are working there those nights are losers like they are and are there to "just hang out with them and have a good time." They come in by themselves, leading us to believe they are there to have fun AND compensate us for our time, and turns out that at the end of several dances they have NO money and say, "WHAT????? You want me to PAY you???? I thought we were making friends and I thought you were going to come home with me!!!!" (one guy that night that did that to me also stole my bra).
I had a VERY bad experience with this over the Christmas season working at Treasures in Houston...New Year's Eve was the WORST NIGHT EVER. I was so pissed by the end of that night I could barely speak (and it takes a lot to get to me). So I decided that I would not work on Valentine's day because I figured the same NY's Eve Treasures crowd would be back for Valentine's Day and HELL NO was I going to put myself through that again EVER.
I worked the whole week before and after Super Bowl and made superb money (except for I got tonsilitis the Friday before, one of the best nights...and fortunately the night we got raided) and most of the girls did very well there (minimum $600 up to $2300)...the tourists were awesome...the place was standing room only and they were mostly Patriots fans (thankfully) who were there to party and I did very well and enjoyed myself because these are guys who don't know that Houston plays by different rules than the rest of the country. I had to tell them that it was ok to touch my leg! They were super respectful, appreciative of the extra contact in Houston (even at it's minimum) and the money flowed without having to hustle.
Ok I guess I'm done about that. I just got back after being in Houston for three weeks and I have some other stories to tell. My modem on my laptop went down so I couldn't get on the site while I was there.
Just venting...

Aww girlie that's why I NEVER work holidays! Glad to hear you banked at Superbowl and missed the raids! It's really nice to hear about you getting out-of-town customers who don't act like the extra-seeking crotchounds who are evidently so common in Houston.
It truly warms the heart. Welcome back.

Hey Fran,
Superbowl rocked the house...i'm glad you did well...it was my best stripping experience so far hands down. The Patriots fans rule! The ones that did not get into Treasures came to me @ Caligula and each and overy one of them was an absolute doll!!
BUT, I spoke with one of my managers Saturday night, he was @ Caligula AND St. James and said they both sucked absolute ass...sorry you had a bad experience. I worked one Xmas and actually had fun, but Valentines Day brings out not only the losers, but the ANGRY LOSERS as well....
It will get better...come work with me if you want!!! We need more hot chix!!!!
Big Kiss....Kat :-*
Re:I'LL NEVER WORK A HOLIDAY IN HOUSTON AGAIN
Houston is a family oriented town and FYI never work holidays there, a holiday weekend, or the Friday of a holiday weekend.
As I have said before, the money there is made off of finding several guys who will spend $100 or more on you there as opposed to other clubs in other cities where the clubs have a party atmosphere with a jivey DJ, stage tipping and girls going from table to table selling dances.
Girls don't work the floor in Houston, it's all about making money off of "one guy" and therefore Friday and Saturday nights and a younger crowd will yield you little money.
Take the same kind of holiday customers to another city where the atmosphere is more of a party and the same guys that just sit and drink in Houston will tip and some will buy a few dances.
Houston is sink or swim and the clubs are boring. The stage is meaningless, and most of the girls don't know how to hustle on the floor, since many never worked in other cities. And because the guys aren't used to being approached constantly by different girls, you are forced to sit for long periods of time to chat the money out of them if you can.
And there aren't frankly enough older guys with a lump sum of money to spend like that to go around. And those kinds of guys do not go to the clubs in H-town on holidays or holiday periods.
Avoid St.Patricks Day, Good Friday and all of Easter weekend as well.

Absofuckinglutely. Holidays in Vegas can be very good because it's mostly tourists who happen to be in town for one reason or another. In Houston...it's not a tourist town (unless during a big convention or event) everyone with money is home with their SO's and/or families. H-town is all about sitting with guys, chatting with them and making all your money in lump sums. I have never had more than 2 customers in an entire shift. Usually only one. I always look classy, I am educated and know how to talk so I do very well with the older (and younger) guys who are turned off by the "wanna dance" type. So, on holidays when all the angry losers come out to see what they can get for free...STAY AT HOME!!!!

Thanks sweetie. I did well all week...unfortunately I missed Friday night because of being sick - that night I know was really good...and I banked on Saturday and Sunday night. The Patriots fans were awesome...it was a good experience all around.

SuperBowl was awesome for me too. I was @ Rick's North Fri- Sun and raked in the dough. To bad there isn't anything equivalent to the big game. I wish SuperBowl was in Houston every year, but now that just wouldn't be fair would it?
