My few cents on the topic:
I'm a dancer of mixed race. When I first began dancing (about 3 years ago) I found it hard to get hired/ make money at predominantly white clubs. This was always a mystery to me because I'm attractive, pretty fit, intelligent, and well spoken. Now that I'm a little older (and I generally date white guys) I realize that:
1) I'm a lot more polished than I used to be. My make-up, and the way I dress is more mature and more attractive and elegant.
and
2) When I first started dancing I didn't really "like" white men. I had never dated one, never been attracted to one and they sort of seemed like from another world to me.
Now that I'm attracted to white men, it is much easier to make money off of them. lol! I have realized as I have grown that a man is a man, no matter what race and for the most part appreciate beauty no matter what skin tone it comes in. Now when I work in ANY type of club, I notice many men looking at me, not just a particular race.
