Other than customers that are being inappropriate, do you ever admonish customers over other things?
For example, the other night I had this guy that I went up to, flirted with, asked about dances. The guy says "No, I learned the secret to strip clubs, you sit away from the stage and don't get dances. Otherwise you end up spending half your paycheck and going home with blue balls."
Me: "oh, *giggle* isn't that the point?"
guy: "haha! Of course you think so, it isn't your paycheck!"
me: "uh, yeah, but it is how I pay my bills."
That kind of effectively ended the conversation. Should I have handled this differently, tried to ply them more? Or give a big lecture about working for tips alone? Or just walk away? I get one or two customers like that a night [we're not that big a club], what is correct procedure here?
