Microdermabrasion? Anyone had it? Any experiences....what results can be expected?
Been there done that. It worked but not the results I wanted. I seen a little changed but I was doing it for over 2 months. Waste of money. I think laser is better than any quick fix procedures.
i have had this done for about 10 months now- i am a huge, huge fan. i never had severe acne; i just had little bumps on my chin and blackheads in my Tzone. this procedure thoroughly exfoliates your skin in a way that you could never do just by washing. it's like a little vacuum sucking out all the blackheads and dead skin cells on your face. now i get it done twice a month by a great dermatologist. also, i fyou get this done, go to a doctor's office instead of a spa/facialist. since skin is always turning over, the treatment will always be effective- you wont need to change up the routine unless of course you feel you dont need it anymore. my skin looks amazing now; it glows. i also use a precscription cleanser and a cream at night which helps immensely.
EDIT-
your face will be red after the 1st time you get this done. but trust me, in a day or two it will begin to glow and feel really soft and look clearer. the more you get it done, the better your skin looks.
I dont want to go the laser route just yet...it seems a bit extreme for my age....I have some lines and wrinkles that are bothering me so I wanted to minimize the appearence....Carmen does it help with that as well as the other benefits you mentioned?

hey tori, twice-monthly treatments of microderm will definitely help with your fine lines and wrinkles- your pores will also become smaller and it will smooth out the general appearance of your skin. but you have to be religious about the treatments.
i'm actually getting my first gentle wave (laser) treatment this friday- you need 8 treatments...i'll let you know how that goes. there are several types of laser treatments but i've never had any, so cant comment on personal results.
a comment on botox- you dont want to start that too early b/c it hasnt even been out long enough for doctors to see the effects of it
microdermabrasion cloth is pretty good for me. The treatments get pretty expensive.
