Maybe I've just done it for so long now I don't understand the difficulty. Maybe you could use some sort of ritual/routine? Have it start with a hot shower, blow dry your hair. The makeup is what makes me feel strippery although honestly I've gone into work and worked with no makeup on and made my money.
Re:switching from mom by day to dancer by night.
Take off the high heels, glitter and makeup? LOL
What I used to do is get ready for work at work. That way, I had time to "adjust" to the club environment while I got ready. Then, by the time I was ready to hit the floor, I was a full blown stripper! :boobies:
As far as going back to being super-mom, make sure you shower and remove your makeup when you get home. That way, when you wake in the morning with the childrens, you're a fresh, clean, pure mommy!
Re:switching from mom by day to dancer by night.
I see nothing wrong with a combination of the two. I like to feel like a sexy mom. MILF, if you will. hehe. No need to draw sharp lines between mom and sexy dancer as far as I'm concerned. As long as you have a healthy sexual image and balanced self-perception, you and your kids will be just fine. They don't have to know what you do, either, if you're not comfortable with them knowing.
Re:switching from mom by day to dancer by night.
Mommies give the best blowjobs, because blowjobs are the cheapest birth control ever invented.
Anyone with a child has living proof that they have successfully seduced before. It's a lot like that, only you don't have to wash their dirty socks and you get paid for it.
Seriously though, it's all about the slutwear and makeup. For me, the transformation starts when I pack my work bag. It's finished by the time I have my full regalia on, including makeup. It probably helps that I don't wear makeup outside of the club, so I automatically go into hustle mode as soon as lipstick touches my face. Call it a modification on Pavlov's dogs.
As soon as you get home, check on your kids. Sleeping faces helps get you back in Mommy mode. Retuck a blanket, push a foot back under the covers and then go wash your face. I like baby oil and a daily facial cleanser to remove my makeup. Then enter your total loot into your ledger and get some sleep. Kids get up as soon as their body clocks tell them that cartoons are on, and 7AM comes awful early to one who works the night shift.

My .02: we all live two lives when it comes to sexuality; our ability to compartmentalize is part of our human psyche, it helps us stay balanced as people and healthy in our relationships. I love strippers and respect the choices you've made.
And the MILF comment is right on!
Re:switching from mom by day to dancer by night.
this looks to be an older thread but i just got around to reading it. i wanted to tell you all that i respect what you're doing and found these comments to be very helpful and insightful; particularly pertaining to a situation i am currently facing. thanks so much for sharing; i'm really glad this question was asked.
Re:switching from mom by day to dancer by night.
i'm also a mom in the day and a dancer at night also from 7 to 2
i suggest you work every other day so that your kids get the same amount of attention and you can get sleep
Re:switching from mom by day to dancer by night.
I look at stripping as my bad girl outlet. I can be as wild, sexual, or slutty as I please. When I am at work I rarly talk about my son even though I think about him. I am so focused on being a sexy little flirt that I forget all about my other life.
When I am at work I know my son is fast asleep in his crib so I don't worry about missing out on anything.
I don't like to party a lot when I could be with my son. This way I get to party, dance, wear crazy costumes, and be sexual while getting paid for it. Its the perfect job for a busy mom because you can so easily seperate it from the rest of your life.
Its the twenty somethings who don't go to school or have much of a life outside of the club who get sucked in and develop problems in their life.
Re: switching from mom by day to dancer by night.
I have 4 kids and have been married 14 years. I don't look like I've had kids which makes it easy not to converse about them while at work. When I'm at work, I truly am "Lenore" a different woman entirely. Even if I didn't have kids, I would use this method at work because it helps get me in the money/fantasy providing mindset. I NEVER discuss my personal life. I don't discuss my kids, my marriage, my school. When asked about myself, I give them "Lenore's story" (whatever that may be that day) I assess the guy I'm talking to and revolve my interests, hobbies etc around what I think that guy wants to hear. If he's wearing camo, I am a avid outdoor gal who hunts, fishes, hikes & camps. If he's in a construction uniform straight from work, I'm the girl next door. If he is in a business suit and wedding ring, I'm a basic bitch who likes to shop, get my nails done, travel and go on fancy dates! This method does require two things, being a good cold read of people and you've got to be well versed in many subjects (if you claim to hunt and fish, you better know your shit because if it impresses them, they'll wanna talk about it... Don't talk too long though, close that dance sale! Lol)
This method REALLY helps me get "into" the work mindset because essentially I become someone else. I step outta my Susie homemaker role and into Lenore, the ultimate fantasy girl. As soon as I'm off shift with my ass in the seat of my car, I'm back in Mommy mode to get home to my kiddos. Just make it happen in your mind.
Re: switching from mom by day to dancer by night.
Lenore I do the same thing lol. My husband swears that I've got self- induced schizophrenia because Autumn is a totally separate person. I've had girls at work think that I'm strange for pretending I don't have kids, but it works. Autumn has a whole fake "real" life and even a fake real name. I've gotten to the point where custies complement me on being so genuine!
The charade keeps me from getting upset about not being home, and I don't have breakdowns at work like some girls do. I check my emotions at the door and consider work a nice break from reality;)
Re: switching from mom by day to dancer by night.
Durring the day before work, I normally wear something that makes me feel good. A tight tank top, pants that fit me just right. ( leggings or skinny jeans) I make sure what i have on is appropriate to wear around the kids, but still makes me feel sexy. I do my hair and make up all nice, and go about my day with the kids. When it comes time for work, I spice up my make up a bit, drop the little one off, and go to work. For some reason doing this just puts me in stripper mode. I guess since most days i'm dressed like a home less person.
Seriously who has time to brush their hair every day with a toddler?

OMG so very true! (True confession time!!) Some days I have to ask hubby "when was the last time I washed my hair?" Luckily my hair doesn't get oily very easily....and thank the hygiene gods for dry shampoo lol
