Re:DANCING IN PARIS, FRANCE
Hi Francesca,
Well, i know that there are some agencies that help you to get work in paris and that they'll help arrange your travelling documentation if need be. Check out www.thebestdancers.com, www.laptastic.co.uk/contracts and www.stringfellows.com. I am thinking about this also because, if I'm honest, looks like I might not get to Portugal :( If I find out more, I'll post back.
Re:DANCING IN PARIS, FRANCE
There will also be the issue of obtaining an EU work visa, since the USA is not a member of the EU. Using an agency can greatly simplify this process.
Re:DANCING IN PARIS, FRANCE
Hi!
There is nothing called "EU work visa" you have to apply for working visa in the country you want to work if you are from a country outside of EU. But there are many dancers from USA in Hustler, Paris so there are not a big problem to get working visa in France for dancers from USA, but you have to apply as soon as possible for it. I have just been talking (2 min ago) with the owner (Julian) of Stringfellows, Paris.. and they need dancers. I will talk with the house mom at Hustler later today.
Best regards
Tor-Henning Gimre.

Re:DANCING IN PARIS, FRANCE
I know I asked this question already in another thread however... I'm asking it here in the thread so it is 'on topic' unlike the other thread.
Can anyone give me, an Australian, information about how I could possibly go about working in Paris (France) ?? Should I go thru an agency (ie TheBestDancers or Laptastic UK) ???
I understand the the brunt of the airfare cost will be mine however is accomodation included ?? Which clubs will hire Australians (all of them or just Hustler) ??
Any information anyone can pass on to me via this thread or PM is appreciated :thanx:
;D
Re:DANCING IN PARIS, FRANCE
GCG, you should look at these agency websites. They are the best places to give you all the info you need if you're coming from Oz. You don't have to join them to ask them questions. Just email or call them!
To be honest, I would go through a reputable agency. They can't screw with you that way and you have more people on your side if things fall through. I might advise to at least use an agency to get started in Europe first. Once you know the strings, you may be able to go your own way. I know there is one place in Paris offering a min 2 week contract (check bestdancers or laptastic - it's the same club). That isn't a huge commitment in terms of time so it might be a good first option.
Re:DANCING IN PARIS, FRANCE
Stringfellows would be nice. I've been there...beautiful club.

Hi!
If want to go to Paris (Hustler or Stringfellows), just send me info about yourself with pics, and I will send a inquiry about you at the club you want to go to.
