Something I can't figure out...
I'm probably not a "newbie" by most standards because I've been dancing almost a year, but I still feel like one because of this problem...
I can't figure out how to get regulars. I had a couple of guys who would buy a dance or two from me every weekend at the place I used to work, but I recently switched to a new club and am starting from scratch again. I get really frustrated because the girls I know who do have regulars just aren't that spectacular. I know I'm not the absolute best person to have ever walked the face of the planet, but, to be honest, I am better than them.
I can't figure out whether I'm just not talking to the right people, or not saying the right things, or wearing the right clothes, or if I need to play dumb or what....
Any suggestions?

Ok, first off, that right there should answer your question. Honey it takes time! And I'm sorry, but I believe you to still be a newbie if this is the only other club you've worked since you started, and you've been dancing less than two years, let alone one.
Depending on the size of this club, don't fret about regulars. Granted, I think the smaller the club, regulars can make a difference. Just give it time, and eventually you'll have your own little "stash" of guys coming around for you too!

Hi ODP and welcome to SW!
It's always a good thing to try and target guys you like as potential regulars first of all or else it will show you just want them purely for the $$$ ('tis true in cases, but to end up with a regular you like will make a longer and far better relationship in terms of quality and income I would imagine).
The best thing to do is try and establish familiarity. Be a friendly face, smile and set yourself apart from the crowd. If a guy likes you, encourage them to come back. Most regulars know when their girl is at work, so provide guys with your schedule. Saying something like ''Hey, I really had fun with you tonight. If you would like to come back and see me on >insert day here< then we can take off from where we left off'' could work wonders.
Just be approachable and have something to talk about. Be interested in the guys. Don't aim to try and put on acts with every guy, it could become confusing and tiring if they wind up as regulars or even worse, can be interpreted as fake (an obvious sign to many guys and makes them even more aware that they are ATMs).
Entice guys. Put ideas in their head that will make you seem unique. Such as ''This is just the tip of the iceberg. Once you get to know me better, there's more in store...'' when giving LDs etc, etc, things that they'll get in time. Or ''I reserve these moves only for my very special clientele'' Just a few ideas. Just try and keep it naughty but real, don't make them think you'll be jumping onto the extras bandwagon.
If a guy does come back, make it special. Remember things about him. Give him a warm welcome. Use his name during the conversation (DO NOT FORGET HIS NAME!!). When they leave, give them a nice sending off. Trust me, they'll love that and will come back for more.
Good luck! xxx
