Not Too Beautiful, but Too Sweet?
I act very cutesy when talking to guys on the floor. Naturally I'm just a very sincere and nice person. They love me, but some of them think I'm just too cute and sweet. I've had a few guys say they would never want to "disrespect me like that." Or they just get into the whole "You dont have to work here, you can get any other job you're so sweet...blah blah blah" What do you say when running into customers like this?
Re:Not Too Beautiful, but Too Sweet?
Oh god, Nina, I hear that crap all the time, too. "Your too cute" or "you look too innocent to work here" I feel like saying, "Kiss my ass" lol But I just say, "well, ya only THINK I'm innocent..." (sexy smile, etc...) or something to that effect.
I hate how you have to fit a "certain" mold. Grrr
Re:Not Too Beautiful, but Too Sweet?
Nina, those are the cheesiest Customer Shit lines I have ever heard LOL Its obvious that they are intimidated by your sexual personna and are trying to drag you down into the realm of mere mortals. Dont let them do it though...us Junkies want our dancers to be up on a pedestal so we can worship them ;D

Re:Not Too Beautiful, but Too Sweet?
A lot of guys that start that shit are just trying to get out of spending money... usually I'll just look at them like I'm confused and say, "but I LIKE working here" or something like that.

Re:Not Too Beautiful, but Too Sweet?
I get that a lot too. I think a lot of the guys who say that just can't afford to buy a dance and they don't want to admit it. :irked:
Re:Not Too Beautiful, but Too Sweet?
Like Lexi, i usually reply back with something really sexually and naughty. I also tell them how much I love my job cause I am a good girl on the outside and naughty inside.
I try to be in control of the conversation so that these guys don't fill the open space with these kinds of bullshit lines.
Along with not having the money, maybe they are trying to test you to see if you will admit you don't want to be there. Maybe its some kind of guilt thing as well. Nah, its probably just a money thing!!!
Maybe Cute = ditzy or something. when I first started I had a tendensy to go into this stupid dumb girl mode. I even annoyed myself and would consciously have to check myself. Or maybe the sweet means you are not portraying the ultra sexy, aggressive image they are after? These are just suggestions.
Get used to these lines girl!!!! You'll probably hear them every day.
Re:Not Too Beautiful, but Too Sweet?
Come across as sexier and naughty! Stand and walk tall, like you own the place, sexy hair, hot make-up AND always talk loud while leaning into the customer, never shout or yell, but some dancers never talked loud enough, and i would hear "huh" "what" from the customers at times. Hold the head high! Walk the walk, talk the talk!

That would be the *some* that do not have any money, or do not want to part with what they have.
When he says: "I never want to disrespect you like that"
he means: "I'm broke right now but hit me up next Friday when I get paid"
When he says: "You dont have to work here, you can get any other job you're so sweet"
he means: "I'm broke right now, but I hope this sympathy-guilt-flattery bullshit buys me some face time before you figure that out."

That totally depends on how busy the bar is. If it's dead and I can tolerate the guy, I'll hang out and do a survey (local or out of town, married or single, kids, job etc) If the conversation is OK and the bar is dead.
Otherwise I'll give him some version of: "Oh aren't you cuter than a bug's ear! Are you still a virgin too? " Maybe I'll give him a kiss on the cheek followed by "Hey! I'll be right back!"
