Momentum baby!!!!
You must find the right balance between your hands being too dry and too wet. Also, knee high boots or pants help 'cause you won't chafe as much!!
Good luck!
I prefer a non-spinning pole.
I tried to use a spinning one and it was just too wierd - i couldn't get a good lift to gain momentum or anything :o
Best thing you can do is just practice i guess. stationary poles are better for more graceful pole moves like hanging with one leg and pulling yourself upside down etc..
Keep practicing and you'll rock!
;)
There are plenty of tricks you can do on a non-spinning pole. Some of them you can't do on a spinning pole. Get some Deja Vu videos.
I'd never even heard of a spinning pole???
It all takes practise, practise, practise..........
I like spinning poles because you can grip harder. Of course I really can't do much on a pole anyway. With non-spinning ones you cant hold on as tight.
I like playing on the pole since I had one in the living room for a while. I learned to do various gymnastic type tricks, not like you girls do, but a lot of fun. When I tried a spinning pole at a club I worked in I was amazed at the difference.
Like they say, practice will make all the difference. I have tried all kinds of poles, including the occasional street sign, and it is always easier the second or third time with any new kind of pole.
What would a stripper be without her beloved pole??
Don't foget to check out the video poletricks 101!
i agree!!!!........
definitely check out poletricks 101. i just received it and very happy with it!
finally a video that shows some advanced moves! pantera, the performer in the video, is awesome. i love the athleticism of pole work, and i want to take it to the next level.... besides simply spinning and walking around the pole, lol.
some of the tricks i knew already, but some are definitely unique. for instance, climbing the pole inverted, upside-down.... i never thought of doing that before. a lot of girls at my club climb.... we have VERY high poles, so it's a crowd-pleaser. now, i can climb sideways, and i'm working on inverted. it definitely adds some variety! :)
this is a rather advanced video, so you'll need a lot of strength and experience before you can do many of the tricks shown. but, i think everyone should see this video, even if just for the entertainment benefit alone.
good luck!
I was in a club with a very high pole once and it was AWESOME! I would periodically glance at the stage and be like "where did she go?". Then I would look up and see her two stories up. Really cool.
This girl, star, I know for a fact makes consistently great money at her club because of her pole work skills.
What muscle groups or specific exercises help with pole strength??
Should I be doing pull-ups or working my chest more at the gym?
