I did something totally different (to me) yesterday...
I have been doing special features at bars that aren't strip clubs for a little while now. This month I started working with other girls doing review shows (like the traveling male dancers; Thunder from Down Under). This has been fun (and profitable). Last night I did a review show that had three female dancers and three male dancers, taking turns on the same stage ;D. The audience was made up of a lot of couples as well as groups of singles.
I was tipped by both the men and women. I approached a table of guys for dollar dances, and they seemed really disinterested. One guy said to me "Sorry, Honey, you don't have anything I want." Hehe, they were there to see the male dancers :pickle:
The money wasn't all that great compared to other shows I've done, but it was soooo much fun. There was only one dressing room, and that is a nice side benefit of working with hot nekkid guys! I don't think the guys were complaining about the girls being nekkid either :bouncey:
I guess I was wondering if anyone else has worked in this kind of situation before? It seems natural that the shows would eventually take this turn as there have been a lot of couples and mixed groups in the clubs lately, and having both males and females available for dances at all times in the same room is a natural progression of the business.
Of course there are the clubs like Olympic Gardens, with the males performing in a different room from the females. In Portland, Oregon there is The ViewPoint that does the same thing. But this was in the same room with both genders enjoying both shows.
I was really nervous before the show, as I didn't know what to expect, but it was very fun and light hearted.

I've never worked in that type of situation but it sounds interesting.
However, I don't think that type of setup would be very successful except perhaps in very large cities such as New York or San Francisco because it would attract clientele based on its novelty factor--and it would require a very sexually open-minded and enlightened clientele.
It just seems implausible that straight men would want to be around that type of venue.
I'm glad it was a fun experience for you and that you really enjoyed yourself. That certainly doesnt usually happen at a typical day of work.

Actually this was in a tiny little town in Washington state. There seemed to be no problem with the straight guys getting dances from the female dancers while the males were performing. This is a very redneck kind of crowd, and there was absolutly no problems with boyfriends/girlfriends getting jealous. Also no homophobia type of behavior either.
Re:I did something totally different (to me) yesterday...
Maybe once homophobia works its way out of mainstream culture your dream will come to light.
This sounds like a big orgy!!!
There are no male dancing clubs around here. I wish there were. I think it would be a blast.
Good point about it being a "novelty". Novelties usually can't produce the big bucks, but the bar would probably make a lot more.

The responses I've been getting here sound like I'm only thinking about doing these shows. This Show already happened March 17th- last Wednesday.
This group has been working together since last summer, and have done a dozen shows with both male and female strippers since then. I got called to do this show at the last minute as the regular girl couldn't make it.
Anyhow, I agree there is definately a novelity factor here. These shows only happen at clubs once a month or so, and in clubs that don't usually have dancers. They move from city to city touring around Washington state.
I guess I was just curious as to if anything like this is happening anywhere else around the country (or in other countries). This was totally new to me, but I like it.
