Dancers undercutting on LD prices...
I was curious on how you would handle this situation. There is a dancer at my club who regularly does LDs for half price, even when no special is going. She is beautiful and friendly and could easily get the full price for the dances, but for some reason sells herself short on a regular basis.
This has a couple of bad reprecussions for the club. She is very hot, and is selling dances for less than the minimum fee. This causes guys distress when they get a dance from other girls in the club who are following the price set by the club. I've heard a couple of times "Jasmine only charged me $10 for the dance." So far I've been able to shrug it off as "That was during the 2-4-1 special, and it has been over for a few songs now" etc. The other bad side is the guys feel like myself or the other girls are ripping them off if they can get dances with a total hottie for only $10 instead of the usual $20. I will usually put the man on the spot and say, "You only paid her $10?? You owe her more as the house set the dance minimum at $20 a song."
I'm worried that word may get around that our dance prices are lower and then we will start to attract the wrong kind of customer. I also genuinely like this girl and hate to see her sell herself short. Also the other not so amible dancers are starting to get pissed at her for undercutting prices, and may end up as a big blowup at somepoint.
I could see why she would do it when it is dead, but this has been happening on busy nights where they guys are practially waiting in line to get into the Champainge room.
Any advice would be great!

well you get what you pay for or yeah all the cheap/broke/poor guys like her
I learned that trick while working at an agency when the guy would say but agency X only charges $70 the phone girl would say we don't have any $70 ladies working here
Re:Dancers undercutting on LD prices...
thats a good trick vannilla dog. If I were there and was friends with her then I would ask her if she heard the rumor that she sells dances half price and make it sound funny. Kinda put her on the spot and make her feel embarresed but not directly accusing her of anything. If I wanst quite friends with her I would tell the manager that I heard something that a girl or some girls were giving discounts on dances and let them handle it but not give a name so as not to get her in trouble. Then hopefully they would put up an announcement and she would stop. But I am kind of a wuss and try to avoid direct aggresive conflict especilly with people I have to see all the time. Then again someone else prolly has a better idea then I do anyway.....
Re:Dancers undercutting on LD prices...
I actually had something like that happen to me once. I'd just finished a set with a customer when the manager comes up to me asking if I've done less than the minimum for dance prices (I actually charge 30 a song, which is the higher of the two ends). I said no, and he said that he'd just been told that a customer had come in having been told that I did dances for 15 dollars!!!! :o >:(
Um, excuse me, but I've NEVER done 15 dollar dances in my LIFE. I reemed the customer out about it, and he tried to tell me that he hadn't meant to get me in trouble. ::) Whatever. So, yeah I've heard about it, but I didn't do it. It's kinda like the customer who'll tell you that this girl sucked him off for XXX.. If it's a clean club, chances are he's trying to see who's going to do it, and not telling the truth.
Re:Dancers undercutting on LD prices...
Our customers? Lie?!? Nooooooooooo!!!
(But don't you do it ladies cuz it's not ethical)
Christy shame! I wonder what you did to him to make him go out and lie about you. ::)
Re:Dancers undercutting on LD prices...
An anonymous note in her locker explaining that you will go to management, it is pissing other girls off, and explain how she is cheating everyone out of money.
Maybe this girl genuinly doesn't understand the ligistics of selling dances half price. Before this website explained how it horribly undercut other girls I didn't realize how terrible it was
Go to management. A stern talking to and final warning will get her to follow rules.
Put up a note in the dressing room so all girls, especially newer ones realize how doing this is bad for everyone.
Or, as soon as a customer claims this go straight to her and call her out.
Re:Dancers undercutting on LD prices...
You may want to think twice about involving management in this problem. After all, the Deja Vu style solution would be for management to start collecting $10 of each $20 private dance and keep it for themselves ! If this club does not collect any percentages of private dance sales, and does not have "official" dance prices posted, then I hate to say this but as an independent contractor the dancer in question has every right to charge whatever she chooses for her private dances from a legal standpoint.
Your best bet is for the dancers as a group to try and convince this dancer that a $20 "price fixing scheme" is in the best interest of ALL dancers including herself. However, this dancer has probably also figured out that $10 times 50 dances sold = more money than $20 times 10 dances sold.
