Re:Club Massage Therapist
that does sound kinda neat.. I have thought about getting certified in massage therapy, but I don't know if my hands could handle it, sometimes they lock up on me.... I never thought of useing it in a club though, thats cool.
Re:Club Massage Therapist
We have a massage therapist at my current club. He is DEFINATELY qualified and does a mixture of 'therapies' including chiropractic.
He charges $50 AUD for 30 minutes. He does your neck, shoulders, back and hips. He will re-align you, do some chiropractic work, etc.
He will get anywhere from 3 to 6 girls (6 is his limit) per night her does it (Tues, Wed, Thu). What he does at the club is only a tiny sample of what he would do if you go to his clinic.
He charges something along the lines of $120 AUD for a full session with him which can last up to two hours (one hour where he 'works on you' then an hour for you to relax). According to the dancers that use him weekly at his studio/clinic... it is well set up.
It can be a nice money spinner as long as you don't get too involved in the dancers' lives... if you know what I mean ?
Tho' it is like our job.. has a time span on it. He can only forsee himself doing it for another year before he has to retire his hands for good... he's been doing it for over 10 years.
Re:Club Massage Therapist
See that's interesting- I hadn't even thought of promoting it TO the Dancers! Wow, interesting. That's what I like about massage therapy though- you can do it just about anywhere, everyone wants a massage. Thanks for that info.
Re:Club Massage Therapist
The HiLiter in Phoenix has (or had when I worked there) a massage therapist. He was WONDERFUL. He charged $1/minute, so $15/15 minutes. He brought his table into the dressing room and everything.
It's just the thing to make you feel better in the middle of a horrible and/or slow night. Rejuvenation!!

Re:Club Massage Therapist
We had one at this sorta crappy club I worked at and he was the best. This guy was licensed and had just graduated from school and had set up a new clinic. The club was his way of offering his service to people who undoubtedly needed it and drumming up business all in one. He charged us a really trivial amount for minor massage and very slight adjustment like $20 or $30, but one of his real deal session had you feeling like a brand new stripper. I believe they ranged from $60 up and usually customers would buy them for us, but at this club $60 was the going rate for dances so everyone could afford at least one real session every couple of nites. It was a godsend.
Re:Club Massage Therapist
There is a dancer at my club that is a licensed massage therapist. She is a sweetheart but is quite awful to look at. She gives mindblowing shounder and neck massages for ten bucks a song, and believe me, she banks! She rarely gives dances, but is always busy!

He is still there. I have not had the chance to check out his talents because he is almost always busy when I have a quick break, and he doesn't go in early enough for me to have a workover before shift. :(
I've worked in plenty of clubs though, where they have a massage girl working the customers and/or someone stationed in the dressing room working the girls. It is NICE.
