Howdy from Houston
Hello everyone,
Since I have been posting here, figured I would introduce myself.
I found this site while seaching Google, looking for a place to go out to in Austin, hehe. Upon reading the site, I have found it hard to leave because of the candid, honest replies this forum seems to get. I read a lot of boards and this is one of the best.
I have been around the SC business for a while. My first GF after college (14 years ago, doh time flies) was a dancer and she introduced me to all her friends in the industry. I have been hooked since then. I have been to most of the clubs in Houston and lots around the US when I used to travel weekly.
I currently live in Galveston and work in the Houston area. I deal with a huge commute so I can enjoy my weekends at the beach. I’m a cfo/controller of a couple small companies, mainly in oil trading. I have been a traveling sales rep, owned a tech company and was into power lifting for a couple years.
My main hobbies are anything that is fun, which includes hanging out with friends at the beach, spending time online and going out to strip clubs (when single).
I have become a true geek over time. I have 3 PC’s in my house, they pretty much have replaced my TV for all but movies (I’m a huge movie buff). I am addicted to MMORPG’s, a type of online game, and have played UO, EQ, DAOC and SB over the last 8 years. I am very active on the message boards of the games I play. I’m sort of a board warrior I guess.
Currently single, I am a little down this week as I just broke up with my gf because she was cheating, bleh. Just reading these boards has helped because of all the good people who post here. It gives a guy hope.
If your wondering why the name Flounder, it’s from the character in Animal House and the first name I used back in my first online game in 1996 and it just stuck. It was just habit to use it here. My real name is Scott.

Re:Howdy from Houston
Welcome Scott. I think you will find this a great message board. Answers to questions seem to come fast and furious. I am new also, and have found that most replies are sincere and point out what should have been obvious in the first place. It also proves that you are never too old to learn as well. At first I was amazed at how mercenary the girls seemed about SC's but in reflection, upon my own job, you realize they are just applying the same methods that you do at work. We can all use a reality check every once in a while. Not only that, I can control the volume of the music while I type.
Flounder is a good moniker around here, because we are all a fish out of water sometimes. The one good thing is that they work at different SC's because at least for me, I could never find just one ATF here. It also makes me set the "bar" a lot higher for the girls at the SC's I do attend. Just remember to have fun.
