Quality of Downloaded Music
So my DJ (who has a terrible selection of music) asked me to bring in some CD's for myself, I have tons but sometimes the quality of the music I find isn't really good. I can't hear how bad it is sometimes because the quality of my speakers on the computer aren't that good, but when played in the club they sound horrible. What should I do?

Re:Quality of Downloaded Music
You have to get mp3's compressed at 160 kbs or higher. Anything lower sounds like poo-poo ka-ka.
Re:Quality of Downloaded Music
umm how do you do that? How do you find that out?
Re:Quality of Downloaded Music
I can help here, lol. What kind of media player do you use on your computer?
Re:Quality of Downloaded Music
I mostly use the Windows Media Player, as far as I know that may be the only one I have but I could be wrong. I'm not very good with computers.

Re:Quality of Downloaded Music
Just move your mouse over the file(Mp3) and a little window will pop up. Second from last it will list "bitrate" and thats the number your shooting for. If you dont see it, just put the files in a seperate folder on the desktop. 128 isnt to bad but aim for 160 and above. Hope that helped.
Re:Quality of Downloaded Music
Not that i would ever encourage the illegal downloading of music, but check out this site:
If you download and use Bit Torrent you can find a lot of whole CDs, many of which are encoded at a higher rate (the aforementioned 160)
I'm no expert but feel free to write me with any questions, I've had good luck with this system.
