Permanent lash implant/transplants and Eyelash extensions.
Hi guys i was reading one of the old threads regarding lash extensions and saw a couple of you ( or the older members ) asking if there was such a thing as permanent eyelashes implants...... well yes there is.
The procedure requires taking hair from the hair line near you neck ( the nape ) and then single hair grafts are transplanted at an angle into slits. They will need to be trimmed, because they will grow just like your hair but it is permanent. The surgery takes 2-3 hrs and is performed under local sedation. You can even tint the lashes. Here is a dr. who performs the procedure in dallas TX http://www.drkathrynduplantis.com/
Seraya.

Oooh i forgot to ask my Q....
Now, i was wondering if any of you gals have ( or have had ) the individual eyelash extensions ( in the pic below ) .... They last up to a month and can be worn in the shower, while swimming etc. ( basically they are water proof ). Apparently they do them in salons all around the country ( US ) i couldn't find anywhere here on the net that do them, even though i'm sure that there MUST be.
Anyway i was wondering if they are the same as the individual lashes you can buy in the beauty supply stores? because if so i can get someone else to do them instead of paying salon prices.
Oh and have any of you heard of the individual permanent eyelash extension which are permanently glued to your lashes and fall of with your natural lashes when they shed? i hear they sell them in beauty supply stores.
*EDITED TO ADD* Here is the website where the pic of the eyelash extensions came from http://www.everlash.net/produkte.htm
Re:Permanant lash implant/transplants and Eyelash extensions.
sorry i dont know how to attach more than one picture to a post....
But here is a pic of one of our older members ( she doesn't post anymore ) with them on.... i think she got her's done in a nail salon. I hope she wouldn't mind me using her pic :-\
Re:Permanent lash implant/transplants and Eyelash extensions.
Hmmm...sounds pretty cool. I don't know if I really want to have anyone messing around my eye area. I just use the fake lashes while I am at work. I like the look at work, but at home, I like my own natural lashes. The lashes look good though.
Re:Permanent lash implant/transplants and Eyelash extensions.
HMM, ID be interested in finding out more about this.. and how much it costs?
Re:Permanent lash implant/transplants and Eyelash extensions.
Nicht feirshtein deutch!
So I can't read any of the details on the other site. Fake lashes work for me. I lost one of mine from passing out in them last week and found its a couple of days ago tangled up in my ponytail, hahaha...it had been there for days.......this happens all the time, hahaahahaha!!
Fakies cost about $2 and can be worn at least a dozen times if not lost, I'd rather spend the money on other things......
Re:Permanent lash implant/transplants and Eyelash extensions.
I have worn individual lashes before.
They are a pain in the ass..I highly recommend the strips.Unless you are just getting a few put in the corners.
Re:Permanent lash implant/transplants and Eyelash extensions.
I would love this lol
I use the fake ones once in a while, but they hurt sooooo much to take off. (I rip them off on the way home) and since I put them on so well (right on the lashline itself) it feels like I am ripping out my own hair! Ouch

This reminds me of a time when I first started dancing and I let a girl at work put the individual ones on me and they looked great.....at first. I was walking around struttin' my stuff (thinking I looked cute) and when I finally looked in the mirror, I was HORRIFIED! I just looked down-right scary. :o
Anyway, I learned to put the strips on myself, and whenever I see the individual ones, I think about that night and LMAO. :)
Re: Permanent lash implant/transplants and Eyelash extensions.
i love eyelashes! it just gets to be a pain in the ass to keep putting them on everyday, but i would never do this.

wow, mine last about 1-2 uses ... what am i doing wrong?
Re: Permanent lash implant/transplants and Eyelash extensions.
Clean the glue off the ends before re-applying fresh glue. And you have to do it oh so gently or you will pull off some lashes too....
Re: Permanent lash implant/transplants and Eyelash extensions.
I much prefer fake eyelashes because you can remove those.

Okay so this is from last year but I'm gonna reply anyway, they are the same as the singles you can get in beauty supply stores, just make sure you use the clear glue. My best friend has them they are awesome.
