Sweaty feet?
I'm having this problem where my feet get sweaty and then they start sliding around in my shoes, which makes it really hard to be graceful. My shoes are the right size, I tighten the straps as much as possible, but no matter what as soon as I break a sweat I start to slide around. I've been having to always wear my one pair of knee-high black boots, which I don't have the same problem with because I can wear socks with them. But I don't want to be confined to boots all the time. Is there some secret I don't know to keeping my feet dry and sweat-free? Do dancer shoes ever come lined in some sort of fabric or something to absorb the sweat?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Re:Sweaty feet?
Hi,
I had this problem when I first started. Anyway, try spraying your feet with antipersperant deoderant spray like Secret or Sure. Make sure your feet are really dry after showering and then spray it on. Let it dry before you put your shoes on. This really helped me.

Re:Sweaty feet?
Great advice MissShelby. :) I was about to post that! lol
Also, if you put those insoles and cut them enough so your feet dont show, you could prevent sliding as well.

Re:Sweaty feet?
There are also shoes that have leather insoles. Most of the "upper line" shoes have them. I paid $95 for my first pair of shoes, but they have the lining and so even if my feet sweat, they don't slide...I also do the deordorant spray on my feet. Works like a charm...and helps prevent the "Curse of the Smelly Shoe" in your locker!! :D

Re:Sweaty feet?
Thanks you guys. I'm definitely going to look for new shoes with leather insoles, and in the meantime I'll try the deodorant thing.

Re:Sweaty feet?
I bought a cute pair of Ellie shoes on Ebay for like $40 bucks with suede or leather insoles for Halloween last year (I haven't started stripping yet) and I was walking all over a local college campus and I didn't slide even though I was sweaty as hell. Not to mention the next day I ached everywhere cuz I was pretty drunk and had worn those for the first time (Six inch heels, yikes!)

Re:Sweaty feet?
www.krystels.com carries the ones with the suede type lining inside and I think I paid $40 for them? They seem to work nice as far as controlling slippage. :)

Re:Sweaty feet?
They also have foot spray... Dr. Scholls. Works like a charm.
