I heard about this on the late night radio talk shows and I am thinking about getting it.
I too feel tired alot, I start work at 6:00 am and am hardly in bed before 11:00 pm.
This company says it is giving free samples, if you call them.

That sucks! After your schedule runs out try every other day.Plus get as much sleep as you can.Good luck.

Want more energy? Eat high protein; low carb and
take a good B-complex vitamin. Superficially, I know it appears to be counter-intuitive but AVOID ALL Caffeine.
Initially it can give you a boost but it messes around too
much with blood sugar & insulin levels so you can often
be left off LOWER than before you took it. Get your
thyroid checked out; they have new more sensitive &
thorough tests for thyroid function. Work out more; again it might seem a bit counter-intuitive but more exercise can help increase your energy level.
that last reply you got from The Kid made alot of sense to me. I also think that are bodies tell us things. is it possible that your body is telling you to slow down? and is that an option for you right now? My body will come down with something if i need to take a break, then i'm forced to slow down.
another thought is to be really gentle with yourself right now.
either way good luck, slow down and breathe. :)
Lexi: Are you taking any vitamin B6? Get some. I promise you will feel a tremendous difference within a few days. If you have to have something carbonated like soda, switch to a sugar free red bull, no sugar, but still loaded with B6, B12 and Niacin.
Gurrrrrrrrl!
I totally sympathize with you. One day a week, take an entire day just for yourself. No studying, working, or cleaning. Veg out all day with your loved one, or lusted one.....sleep all day, then go to bed early.....
I wish you the best.....stay excited about your endeavours, the anticipation about your soon to be accomplished goals will give you a natural energy boost.....
Roarrrrrrrrr!!!!

I think you need to take some time for yourself. It always helps me get re-energized. My cure for the tired rut is a round of golf leaving the cell phone in my car. I'm sure you can come up with something that is self indulgent and fun for you. Maybe hit a spa and get yourself pampered.
I know this sounds REALLY cheesy but I actually just read an article in Cosmo about stress. And basically you have to stop thinking so much about bein stressed. It says that there are a lot of physical effects from stress, like a tummy pooch (Which i noticed I was getting) Acne, chronic headaches and some other stuff. Basically it says that a lot of women tend to over stress themselves and when they really don't have a lot of stress they create it cuz they're used to it, then normally unstressful events might make an outburst cuz they made themselves go nuts. So take a break from thinking about your impending schedule. Don't watch the time so close and basically kinda take an attitude like that guy from office space. You know, the one that goes to the hypontist and gets hypnotized to destress. (Don't completely not care, but be a little carefree)
Sorry Miss George but "Iron poor blood" is generally
a myth AND if you eat red meat you are usually getting more than enough- vegetarians and vegans may have to supplement. BUT too much iron is VERY BAD- aside from blood disorders it also promotes excessive
oxidation ( iron oxide= rust).
Yes very true...... Most ppl who take iron supplements do not actually need them.Quote:

Lexi hope you will be feeling a bit more energetic soon.... remember to try and take time out for yourself! there is no point in burning yourself out worrying about not getting ahead because if your burn yourself out too much you wont have the energy to complete those goals.
Takecare hun
Seraya.
Oh and I take Flinstones chewables PLUS iron (they make em with a lil more added iron) just in case the iron thing isn't a myth. Some would think it's weird to take a childrens chewable, but for some reason I always remember to take it, rather than just a swallow pill. Also yeah, the B6 thing, that might help too. Ya know after drinking long and hard one night it's recommended to take 100mg of B6 to replenish what your body lost from drinking so much the night before
Eat right, take your vitamins, sleep as much as you can. Sounds like you might also need a break. Maybe you can take a few days off between schedules. Hope you feel better!
Lexi my advice to you is to take this weekend off. I always gets me refreshed and makes me a nicer dancer with in return gets me more money. Don't feel guilty. You will be happier in the long run and just relax at home with some beer, friends and some movies. You will feel your energy levels back to normal next week. Take care of yourself sweetie!
Working on a schedule while being in school...aaahhh, that takes me back!
Can your finances handle you working one less shift a week?
Another option which has helped me in the past is Emergen-c packets that have vitamin C and B12. It's not speedy, but try not to drink more than 2 packets a day since too much c can cause kidney trouble.
Unfortunately, it sounds like with your hectic life, something's gotta give. And since dropping out of school isn't an option, see if working one less shift is feasible.
I have to agree with the kid and others who mentioned the b vitamins.
I know sometimes I get that kinda lethargic feeling that even sleep doesnt seem to help. I discovered that taking a B complex vitamin (as well as maybe a C and a multi) really gets me back on my feet. My mind just feels more alert, I assume it has something to do with the B vitamins affecting neural transmitters or some such.
Personally I have found that I need to watch how strong the complex is, ie B-25 or B-50 or B100. I find taking too much has an effect similar to drinking too much coffee, (aggitation rather than alertness). So I would say a b25 or something might be a good place to start.
I also dont take them on an empty stomach or right before bed or it tends to provide a restless sleep.
I wonder if your diet changes that you mentined might be affecting things also, heavily processed foods are often lacking in Vit B I understand.
The advice on sleep and days off seems useful also, but I must say that when I feel as u described "its the B that works for me " lol
Best wishes for a quick 'B'ounce back

Hey Lex
Im not one to give anyone any advice because i cant follow it, But i might be able to help with the sleep deprivation aspect of your problem. As we all know recently the clocks changed and it takes our bodies time to adjust, ( some more than others Lexi ) so heres what I do.
wake up one morning, go to my computers, multi task between several projects, have a few smokes ( I know smoking kills ) mix in a few beers, maybe order some pizza into the office and stay up for a few days at a time repeating the same routine.
Now when i finally do get some sleep I feel like a new person full of energy and ( ladies this next word is for you ) Vitality to go for hours.
So Lexi stay up party , drink be merry and when you think you tired stay up even longer then get some sleep you'll be fine.
Who loves ya babe?

Lexi: Whats the goal?
If it's to be able to take me out for dinner, consider it goal accomplished.
J/K glad your feelin better, Now as I'm constantly yelling around the office at everyone. GET TO WORK !!!!!
Miss George- A genuine "thank you" for passing along
that recent study on iron deficiency.Certainly a deficiency is NOT good but most people can get more than enough iron by eating red meat and green leafy
vegetables.Unfortunately, American women are notoriously bad eaters and are often deficient in a
host of nutrients.
I know the feeling! Been doing doubles - working all day at the office, and then at the club nights, and I'm just too old for it ;)
I called in sick today and stayed in bed till 3 pm, felt super guilty but damn I needed it.
Iron deficiency anemia can be common in menstruating women - a simple pin prick blood test in the dr's office can tell for sure, but another less known form of anemia is caused by B-vitamin deficiency. I was diagnosed with this a couple of years back, had super low levels of B-12 and folic acid. Had to have a couple blood tests at the lab to confirm, but once I started supplementing and changing my diet it made a huge difference. Just something to consider if a couple relaxing days off don't do the trick.
Yikes Lexi.. I've been there. I remember doing doubles continuously. I was so exhausted by the night's end that I'd be slapping myself (HARD) just to stay awake while driving home. I was physically and basically mentally drained. I felt like a total zombie.
I definitely agree with what the others are saying. Try and take an extra day off during the week if you can, just for a "me" day. Pamper yourself and do nothing but relax.
I was a total pushover when I pulled all those shifts, and would never say no when I was asked. Then I learned the word and didn't stop saying it. LOL.
You may want to consult a doctor if it seems like an underlying condition causing severe drowsiness.
Stress can tear your body apart. Cutting back a bit may help you feel better.
Take a vacation. Some time off leaves you refreshed.
Get outside and exercise to relax and rejuvinate your senses.
Turn off your phone, call in sick, and do some things just for yourself. You will feel much better.
What you are eating will duh make a big difference. Cut the caffeine and add the protein. Eat and drink as much healthy stuff you can for a few days and see how you feel. You energy level will go up a lot if your body is in balance.
