Rug Burn
Ok quit laughing. ;D
They installed new carpet on the bumper around the insides of the rails at work and I seem to have rubbed the crap outta my knees last night on it and they're all red and a tad raw although not gross weepy yucky looking.
I put antibiotic ointment on them as soon as I got home and have been alternating with A&D ointment. Any hints/tips on how to knock back the redness?

Re:Rug Burn
ow! why would they install something so harsh? this is what happens when people who arent affected make the decisons i guess.....
the onlything i can think of is makeup, but that might sting if its deep. ice might help too if it feels warm, although that might make it more red.... you could also wear knee-hi or thigh-hi's too, that would help prevent more from happing and hide what you already have.....

Re:Rug Burn
They had carpet there before but it was broken in you know? The stuff they put in is the industrial grade low pile you-can-walk-on-it-for-three-million-years-before-noticing-wear shit. :(
Owie boo boo hehe. Right now they're just red. I'm hoping they'll be a tad better before tomorrow. I just don't want them looking scabby.... ew!

Re:Rug Burn
i like it when the place to put your knees is a pad, like one of those foamy things, that works great. and dressing rooms! i have only known one that was really good. most of the time they use regular kitchen countertops which is just too wide! how am i suppost to see the mirror? I cant see that far without my glasses! grrr..... and when i lean on it to see, it bends, and pushes in on my stomache and makes me hurt....

Re:Rug Burn
Well this is the first place i've danced in so I don't have much to compare to. :)
The ole knees look MUCH better btw. It looks like the actually "rubbed off" part isn't too bad so I think as long as i'm careful I should be all right.

Re:Rug Burn
If that happens again, try cortizone cream. It is known to take out redness.
