Re:microdermabrasion cloth?
I've never heard of this cloth...but, I was at Target the other day and they have a microdermabrasion kit there. It was like $20 or $30. I think I might buy it next week, so if you want I will let you know how I like it.
Re:microdermabrasion cloth?
I saw that cloth you're talking about on Ebay-I didn't try it though. I remember at the time, I checked her feedback-a lot of people seemed to like it. Instead of the typical "great seller..etc it was "love it" etc.

I saw her feedback too. They are like "it really works" and stuff..SO I got two for $8.99 with free shipping..lol If no one knows about this cloth..I will come back and update how it works for me. I use exfoliating things for my face but they just don't seem to be doing much. I use retin a for wrinkle stoppage..lol I will be using the cloth for some small stretch marks on each side of my stomach too..So I am the guinea pig for this project...lol :medusa:
Re:microdermabrasion cloth?
yes Holiday, please do update. I've never heard of the microdermabrasion cloth how the hell did you find THAT? :)
Re:microdermabrasion cloth?
I've bought the cloth. I personally prefer a good old terry washcloth or a glycolic peel (also available on ebay). It wasn't very expensive but it wasn't a great deal.
Re:microdermabrasion cloth?
Be carefull Holiday. You dont want to over irritate your skin since you are using the retin a and that does exfoliate as well.
Re:microdermabrasion cloth?
holiday you ebay too much like me..(one of the pop ups on ebay THAT YOU linked to is where i bought mine!) I bought the cloth and love it!
LOL!!
Re:microdermabrasion cloth?
michele, thats so true! Didn't even think of it. When you use the cloth, use it sparingly!!!
Re:microdermabrasion cloth?
OMG PLEASE be careful if you use these!!! I bought one also on ebay from some stan guy that had amazing feedback on them, so I wasn't too concerned. When I used it the 1st time, I did EXACTLY what the directions said, but it was awful!
My face was so red when I got out of the shower and by the next day, scabs had formed all over my face and neck! Not like huge, gaping sore scabs, but like carpet burn scabs. Took 3 days to get better and LOTS of vitamin E oil!
You cannot feel the affect it has on your face while you are using it because it is such a fine "grit". It is just like a thin, oversized washcloth with a sanding affect!
Re:microdermabrasion cloth?-UPDATE!
Ok..Here is the update on this cloth. I would say it's a go!! I have used it 3 times so far..I could see and feel a dramatic affect over night. I have dry skin, blotchyness and lines that have shown up in the past year (I'm 32). I have tried lot's of stuff. I have been using Retin A for about 3 months. I saw a change in my skin from using that. BUT I have stopped using it to try this cloth for right now. I can't believe it. My fine lines have dramatically started to change..my facial skin has begin to have an eveness I have not seen in a long time. I always have these lizard dry patches of skin on my face and I moisturize! These are almost gone. My face feels really weirdly smooth..like when I was 17..lol I am sure the more I use it the better it will get. I would recommend this cloth. You can feel the difference when you touch the cloth..It looks like a terry cloth but the feel is much different. I don't know why antprincess had such a reaction from the cloth..but I can say..I did have a pink tone over night like the directions say you will..I do not recommend doing it in the shower..You should do it in the mirror and do NOT press to hard..it will do it's job without that pressure. I am going to type out what I recieved with the cloth and you can be the judge from there.
HERE IT IS:
MICRODERMABRASION CLOTH
This cloth combines microfibers with a unique new weaving precess. The result is a material that has phenomenal exfoliating capabilites for our skin. This material is proven to exfoliate dead skin cells, remove cosmetics, oil and dirt. It can also siginificantly reduce or even eliminiate ace! All with out the use of harsh and dangerous chemicals.
Our Microdermabrasion Cloth is so beneficial that it rivals costly and dangerous clinical skin peels in effectiveness. It can be used anywhere on your body - acne, acne scars, fine lines, age and liver spots, callouses and even stretch marks. ( However you want to avoid sensitive skin areas such as the eyelids and genital areas.)
What your Cloth Does
It safely exfoliates the upper layer of your skin, which is called stratum corneum ( This is the whole purpose of costly micro-dermabrasion peels and dangerous chemical (glycolic acid, salicylic acid peels.)
The tiny fibers cleans microscopic dirt, providing a clean fresh skin, and can be used wet or dry, without soap. Soap CAN be used, but usually is not needed. Unlike ordinary cleaning cloths that move or push dirt and dead skin from one place to another, Ultra fine Microfiber actually "scrapes" the dirt, dead skin and excess oils from the face, and then stores the dirt particles in the cloth, unitl it is washed. Made with microfiber finer than silk, called startfiber, this luxurious face cloth with only water will gently clean without stripping and dehydrating the skin, creating the appearance of smoother, more radiant skin.
Your new cloth can improve these:
Acne, Ance Scars, Age Spots, Blackheads, Brown Sports, Discolorations, Dry Skin, Dull Skin, Stretch Marks, Freckles, Fine Lines, Hyper Pigmentation, Red Spots, Rough uneven skin, Scars, Sun Damaged skin, Enlarged Pores.
Removes all make-up in seconds including waterproof mascara. Removes dirt, grime, oil and grease that can clog the pores and cause acne. Suitable for all skin types including very sensitive skin. Has exceptional deep cleansing abilities. Saves time, saves money, saves your skin. Wash and reuse over and over. Contains no harmful chemicals. Eliminates the need for facial cleansers and toners.
What is microfiber?
Microfibers are tiny fibers that have been slit into millions of finer fibers that are no thicker than one hundredth of a human hair. The special splitting process produces an ultra-fine fiber with wedge shape filiaments and a core of nylon. The wedge shape, the nylon core, and the smaller size fiber are the key the fibers' effectiveness. When these tiny fibers are woven together in to a cloth though a unique weaving method the result is a powerful cleaning tool.. Each cloth consists of tens of thousand of tiny storage compartments that lift the dirt up out fo the pores, trap the waste and leave a cleans surface. The nylon core within the microfibe form tiny cutting edges that break up surface dirt and easily absorb and remove oils and dead skin cells. The only cleanser you need is water!
How do I use My Cloth?
First wash face thoroughly with a desired cleanser and warm water. The pat dry. Wet your microdermabrasion cloth with warm water and gently scrub face in circular motions beginning at the middle of the face and working your way out. Treatment should last no longer than 90 seconds for the entire face. DO NOT SCRUB TOO HARD or scrub to vigorously in one area. Discontinue if a rash appears. Between treatments remember to use plenty of SUNSCREEN when going outdoors. Do not use the cloth in cojunction with any ongoing chemical peel process or an aluminum oxide crystal regime. After treatment with the Cloth, dry your face witha clean soft towel. Do Not Apply any alcohol-based astringents, but you may pat your face down with a cotton puff that contains Witch Hazel, a similar mild astringent or aloe vera gel.
When will I see Results?
Do this regime every 7 to 10 days. Results will be experienced and seen after 3 to 4 treatments, but your face will go slightly pink for 24 hours after the first treatment. This is nromal and bolsters the productions of collagen and elastin -making your skin firmer and smoother. Some people may experience slight flaking or peeling of the skin in the several days following treatment. This is normal and means the treatment is working! Flaking and peeling should minimize or stop completely in subsequent treatments. Since all individuals are diferent results will vary.
How do I clean my Cloth?
Your cloth can be washed by rising in warm water with a dab of laundry soap or wash in the washing machine with your delicates - hang dry. NEVER iron or use fabric softner. Machine drying is NOT recommended. Your cloth should last up to a full year if cared for properly. FOr best results, replace your cloth every 9 to 12 months.
Are there side effects?
Slight pinkness may occur due to the abrasive nature of the microfiber, but this is dependent on your type of skin and its sensitivity. Some people will experience slight flaking or peeling of the skin in the several days after treatment. This is normal and means the process is working! Flaking and peeling should minimize with subsequent treatments as your new, healthy skin emerges.
When should I not use the cloth?
You should never disregard medical advice of delay in seeking it because of something you have read here. If you suffer from any systemic dissease of dermatoligical disorder that affects your skin please advise your doctor before use. You should also avoid using the cltoh if you are sunburned; have active herpes simplex, open cuts or sores, are currently on a medication ( inlcluded but not limited to Accutane) or have recently had facial surgery.
Can I use it for other parts of my body than besides my face?bi
Our cloth can be used on your whole body, including back and chest acne, dry sun damaged skin on arms , legs, etc..(do not use on genitals and eye areas) with the same rejuvenating and skin clarifying effects.
Is it safe?
YES. Used as directed, the Microdermabrasion cloth is gentle and will not irriate your face as other chemical expoliates might. It is recommended the only light pressure be used in order to prevent irritation. Aslo avoid using the cloth around eye area.
The cloth can even be used to reat acne and other skin problems druing pregnancy since no dangerous chemicals are involved unlike glycolic acid or salicylic acid clinical peels which are not recommended during pregnancy.
What can the Cloth improve?
The cloth revitalized skin, encourages new skin health and new skin growth, which can minimize or eliminate acne, acne scars, fine lines fade spots and give an ovefall appearance of health "glowing" skin. ;D
Use it as a body cloth too! Gently remove dead skin cells and smooth away all traces of roughness, (epecially around your knees and elbows) while leaving the skin cleans, soft and revitalized!
Whew!! Done ..Some of it is repetitive..but that's what came with my cloth..The only part I don't get is that it says don't use on eyes..but says it removes even waterproof mascara..hmm..But all in all I this cloth has worked for me :10:..My true test is what my facial skin looks like outside (natural lighting) in a mirror without makeup and the change has been impressive. I have just started using the big cloth on my tummy stretch marks and I will get back on those as well.
Well here it is take it or leave it. :P
Holiday :D
