Going to work gives me hives
It just seems that everything has been piling up lately. The club is DEAD! Money sucks. New girls are constantly breaking rules and not getting in troubl. I'm in rehearsals for an exotic dance company two to three times a week and our first show is Sunday. My husband abd I are getting ready to leave for Illinois for a week and we're broke. And I am no longer allowed to work my Monday night shifts because of the color of my skin.
Saturday when I went in i litterally broke out in a rash or hives or something all over my stomach, back and arms! What the fuck! I've never had this happen before, could it be stressed realted? When I went for rehearsal this morning it happend again.
When I get back from the family vacation that I have to go on (really looking forward to seeing my ib-laws  I hate that they're so far away) I'm going to see about working some shifts at another club.
Guess I just needed to vent. Thanks.
Re:Going to work gives me hives
Ahh these is the best place to vent because we all understand or atleast most of us do lolz.. I know plenty of people who break out in hives because of stress so yes it can definetley be stress related, for that i suggest getting cream from a doctor, my bestfriend used to break out in hives everytime she got upset she used this cream called Lanacane and it faded them and stopped them from itching cuz i guess hers itched or whatever.. so something like goldbond cream might help out the irratation but beasically relax, take a bubble bath pop out the candles lolz the shit about the new girls not getting in trouble for fucking up is a bunch of bullshit but dont let that get u stressed cuz stupid shit like that happens all the time anywhere u go and its not worth getting that upset over, the thing about you not being able to work mondays cuz of ur skin color on the other hand id raise hell over fuck that that is the biggest bullshit i've ever heard.. what color are you? I'd definetley work into another club this one seem like its full of some real assholes and if ur not making that paper it might most definetley be time to move on.. research the clus in ur area realwell before making ur decision becuz some of them may look decent but the way they are run suck ass im not a big experienced girl here but my cousins have stripped for years and switched clubs more than boyfriends... lolz, anyways RELAX shit will work out, and good luck, if u need 2 vent anymore feel free to let it all out lolz we're here we're listening and we love you well atleast i do lolz
Re:Going to work gives me hives
Thanks Nikki!
I did get some Benadryl cream and a Claritan pill for hives on Saturday, had to leave work to go get it. It seemed to work and it really made the Corona take affect faster!
The thing about mondays.....Mocha Mondays, I'm white and can no longer be there. I don't have anything against African-Americans, i have a problem with some guy bringing in girls from outside of the club and taking shifts away from our girls. The DJ/manager had to fight to be able to get even our house A-A girls to work. This same guy tried it at another club and it eventually lead to the downfall and closing of it. All of us see that happening here.
Richmond is such a small town in the SC area, I know alot of dancers and DJ's at other clubs and have been talking to them, now I just need to go to management and see about an audition.
Re:Going to work gives me hives
yeah id definetley say find a new club, this one sounds like its dicking around too much good luck on that it shouldnt be hard since you know people, id be upset if they cut off my shift to start a new day where only black girls can work too, and i am not racist either alot of my old dancer friends were black and the nicest girls ud ever meet, its just if ur income sucks to begin with and ur loosing a day u have all rights to be upset, so with that said good luck and ii hope u get a club where things seem more together lolz
Re:Going to work gives me hives
Yup I agree you need a change of scene. A differnt club, travel maybe ? Another thing I would do from time to time was take a break from dancing and work as a beertub girl at nightclubs for a few weeks. I'd still make a few hundred dollars a shift . Just an idea. Take care :)
Re:Going to work gives me hives
Find a new club...and yes, your hives can definitely be stress related. I would also suggest a "change of view". Meaning, you may need to look at your situation in a different light. Sometimes we get so stressed out from looking at the negatives of our lives, that we forget all about the positives. Try writing down all of the positives of your life/situation...and focus on those when you start getting negative feelings. If nothing else, it could possibly help get rid of the hives.
And, make sure you are taking care of yourself...take nice hot baths and pamper yourself as much as you can. You deserve it!!
Re:Going to work gives me hives
Thanks guys. I'm going to another club tonight to talk to the manager. I know need to do it but I'm a creature of habit and hate to go new places. I've been a my current place for 2 1/2 years. i don't want to leave all together because there are some good things about it but I know I've got to do something. I'm starting to consider doing some traveling. I don't want to stray to far from home and I need to see if I can find a reliable travel partner.
Thanks again for the advice and support.
