I am a DJ at a club and there has been many reports about one of the dancers who has been stealing from other dancers as well as from customers. Well nothing has ever been proven, every time a customer complains they never want to call the cops, it is as though they are embarassed to be in the place. But a few months ago a customer said she stole $2,000 from him, and the bouncer was being an ass that day and told the customer to take it up with the girl, well the customer called the cops and right while the cops were on there way the customer went and beat that girl to a pulp, I have never seen so much blood before, he broke both her arms and both her legs, her nose, her wrist, fractured her jaw, and basically permanently disfigured her face, this all happened in 20 seconds, and the cops pulled the guy off the girl and arrested him, but sure enough they found the $2000 in the girls pockets, and the girl was arrested as well, and recently I managed to found out the outcome of what ended up happening. Criminal charges were filed against the customer and the jury voted in the customers favor and he was let off, and then the dancer filed a civil suit against him, and the customer filed a countersuit against her and once again the jury voted for the customer, the dancer now owes the man $50,000 for something like mental pain or something like that.
I hate to say it but I completely was on the customers side, the club was not going to do anything about it and I know I woudln't want to lose $2,000 dollars.
I was just wondering how theft is dealt with at your clubs? What happens if a customer says a dancer just ripped him off?
