Pole work and BA
Hi, all. I was just wondering about pole work and breast augmentation. I am getting a BA on monday and want to start dancing as soon as I am healed. I really want to learn pole tricks and wondered if anyone had any thoughts or experience on how long I should wait before trying. Thanks for the help!

Re:Pole work and BA
That depends on a lot of factors. It's really going to also depend on what your doctor tells you. There is more to dancing than pole work.
It may be several months before you can do pole work as it takes a lot of upper body strength...and if you get under the muscle, it may take a little longer. Definitely talk with your doctor and follow his/her instructions to the letter. Don't make the same mistake that Mermaid did and end up ruining the new boobies.
Good luck!

Re:Pole work and BA
i've had my ba for almost 6 years and i NEVER work my chest as my boobs are under the muscle. as far as pole work goes i dont do it and i dont think guys really think it's sexy. there are some theads here and on the blue site that attest to that, but hey if you really want to do pole work ask your dr. i have seen girls with unders that work the chest and the boobs look funny.

Re:Pole work and BA
many girls who have under the muscle implants must always be careful when doing pole work, because the downward pressure from their pec muscles can distort the shape of their implants while they're doing a "strength" move. Not only does this look extremely weird to customers, but over time it can also force the implants out of proper position (generally forcing them down and out, creating an even wider gap between breasts).

Re:Pole work and BA
I believe all the advice you're giving to avoid pole work after a BA, but I had a dancer friend who made no change in her pole work-heavy stage show after her DD enhancement- the only thing to be seen was rippling on the underside of her breasts when she hung upside down. I'm only posting this because I love pole tricks and hope a BA wouldn't mean the end of them.....

Re:Pole work and BA
I've never been one for alot of pole work, especially after my BA. Now, I just use it for balance.

Re:Pole work and BA
this is interesting.
what about over the muscle implants?
would pole work have any effect on those?

Re:Pole work and BA
Mine are over the muscle, but I still don't do pole work. I'd probably fall on my head.

Shelby~
My kid's mom LOVED pole work. She insisted it was like a swing. You should have seen her. She would treat that thing like it was a roller coaster.

Re:Pole work and BA
That's one of the reason that I switched back to over the muscle placement when I had my boobs redone.

Re:Pole work and BA
Thanks everyone!! I should be a little more clear, though. The pole work is mostly for personal reasons. I have always wanted to do pole tricks even if I never dance. I'm definitely not going to be trying pole tricks at the club in the beginning, not only so I don't fall on my head in front of customers but so as not to jeopardize my new boobies either. I;m not spending 5k on something an not taking care of it ya know??!!

Re:Pole work and BA
Madcap, there was a girl who I used to work with who was awesome with pole tricks. She could do things that defied gravity. She trid to teach me once, but I couldn't stick to the pole like she could.

Re:Pole work and BA
It took me about a year to be able to go back to pole work after I had mine done. I couldn't do any upper body at the gym either and even after a year, I had to start slow. Now it's been a couple years and I can do anything. Just have to be patient and careful not to overextend yourself.
