hey being that this is the most intelligent forum i visit. and the most well researched I was hopeing you guys could help me out.

Here are excerpts from the conversation:
Him: I've heard people talk of how hanging a lurcher or greyhound upside down by its back legs causes its digestive system to fall out of its mouth, sick stuff.
Me: i dont think a dog can lose its digestive system that way. biologicly speaking, i think thiers is tied in the same way ours is.
Him: I reckon they can, our digestive systems aren't really that well tied in either, it's mostly gravity that keeps em in. and sharks can vomit their guts up on demand, should they, for example, swallow somthing sharp or poisonous, then draw them back inside later.
Me: I will admit that organs can be moved around quite easily, best expressed as wearing a corset, or being pregent (doubt you've tried either). but I do belive its more then gravity.

the main thing is will hanging a greyhound cause its digestive track to fall out of its mouth? I need some facts to show him.
so I looked it up on snopes, didnt find it. did a google, too many ads.
anything also disproving his claim on our (human) digestive system would also be appriciated.
and the shark thing.. i have watched many a shark week and never heard this one.
thank you so much. I will tell him whatever we find, even if he is right....
Re:need some facts: dog and medical related
Well I don't have any hard facts for ya, but wouldn't it seem that if our systems (which are similiar enough to dogs) could be displaced that easily that there would be no bungee jumping??
Also, I don't know if you have ever known a greyhound, but if he can find one that will let him hang it upside down then that is a better triumph than proving his theory!! Also, why would a greyhound be any different than other breeds?
Now for true facts, my frog acutally had a prolapse in which her colon, intestines and some sort of reproductive tissue were extruded through her cloaca when she laid an overly large egg mass. She lived through it!!! You can see her pic on the furbaby thread
