Has anyone here worked in a massage parlour b4? I haven't danced yet but i worked in a massage parlour for 6 months. No dirty extras... worked 6 hour shifts and usually went home with $500-$600. Is there this kind of money in dancing? ???

There are strippers that make less than that, some that make similar, and others that make more.
Earnings in stripping have more to do with you, your goegraphic region, and your sales/hustle skills more than anything else. For stellar skilled women in certain economic regions, this can make the earnings ceiling very, very high. For others more stationary and with lesser skills... a much more limited ceiling.
If your massage parlour is like most, you don't have to do any amount of sales at current. Customers are already scheduled and you just see each one linearly. In a stripclub, there are a fixed number of customers that enter the club each day and it's your job to compete with the other dancers to capture their sales for yourself, as well as be skilled enough to make them spend once you've got them.
So as you can imagine, the earnings you can make has a lot more factors!
what exactly goes on at a massage parlour? You dont do dirty extras?? I thought u were paid for extras?
TampaDancer typicaly they provide handjobs. The nickname for these places is JackShack's
No dirty extras my butt ::) But to answer Vanessa's question yes you can earn that kind of money in stripclubs depending on location , your appearance and sales skills
Vanessa, if you decide to start dancing, I wouldn't talk about any past experience in a massage parlor.
I guess by "no dirty extras" she might mean there was no intercourse. But of course, go to any club and a HJ definitely qualifies as an extra.
I know of quite a few massage parlors in the Providence area. My brother in law actually went to one once, out of curiosity. A while into the massage, he was propositioned with "$50 extra to rub the little guy". After realizing what he had gotten himself into, he hauled ass out of there.. LOL
I definitely agree with NinaDaisy. If you decide to dance, don't mention your past employment in massage parlors. They will, without a doubt, get the wrong impression about you.
Thanks for the advice girls. I think not mentioning that i worked at a massage parlour is a good idea.....they would definetly get the wrong impression.
The parlour that i worked at there were absoloutly no extras allowed except handjobs. The services provided were:
Topless massage
nude massage
nude reverse
body slide
and shower massage
Don't get me wrong most of the parlours i've heard about provide a lot of extras so i can understand why people view parlours as being dirty.
"No extras except handjobs" LMAO!
Why would a guy pay that kind of money for a massage when he could get a professional much cheaper? There is a reason it is so difficult for a licensed massage therapist to open a business within some city limits...and it's because of places JUST like the one the OP described.
"You like round inside?" lol sorry couldn't resist.
Hey, at least you're honest and you're definately asking valid questions. I agree with the others, if you start dancing, keep your member massage career under wraps. I just don't see anything positive coming out of it for you.
You'll need to find the right club to consistently earn that kind of money dancing, and in fact may even make much more and the best part will be no more weenie rubbing with your hands! ;)
OMFG - "jackshacks" Tigerlilly thats fricken FUNNY!
We call em "Rub & Tug's" up here in the great white north.
and again - wtf - a handjob is not a dirty extra? WTF?
Cranking off a strange man for money is not dirty (your words not mine)?
Well each to their own I suppose but there again rearing its ugly head is the issue of masquerade - you ask for a massage expect to get jerked off -
you ask for a dance and you expect prostitution.
Legalize the damn shit and get it out of what should be legitimate business.
BAH!!!!
There is a huge discussion going on here in the Toronto area right now. And the law is trying to clamp down on massage parlours. I have a friend who is in the business and she makes on average 600 to 800 dollars a shift. Good money. The thing about dancing is that there is no guarantee that you are going to make a certain amount of money. A busy massage place who has a constant loyal customer base is almost as close to guaranteed money as you can get.
Personally I don't think a hand job is a huge deal. As long as it stays behind closed doors. Don't be ashamed of working in a massage place I say good for you !!!
again each to their own - wanking anyone off for cash is prostitution not a fucking massage.
You wank for cash; your a hooker - done deal.
Thank you Raven. And as for u LEIGH LANDON giving a handjob is not prostituting yourself. Please do not speak on a subject that u obviously dont know anything about.
actually "massaging" would be placed in the "other work section." Nothing close to exotic dancing!!
I personally agree leigh....
if you are being paid for a guy to "release", its prostitution. Not as dirty as straight intercourse, but is a form of sex.
Since when ? If that's your deal fine, but why lie about what it is ?Quote:

What is the difference for us dancers when we give a lap dance? You can feel the guy is hard. And we grind against it. I know many girls at my club who have had guys cum in their pants froma dance. We are still using our bodies. But there is a distinct difference between dancing and massaging. I do not call it prostitution.
bottom line vanessa, if you start dancing do not perform handjobs in the club.
The bottom line is- yes, stripping can yield that kind of revenue (and more), but it's not assured nor are those kinds of earnings possible in all clubs/locales. Diva put it best in another thread- Dancing is beauty, a great body and personality. If you can excel in any or all of those facets, as well as do your homework on club selection and locale, you can make your target earnings in exotic dancing/stripping.
Vanessa, check this site also as it has some great information pertaining to the career change you are interested in-

a licenced massage therapist...working at a spa or private practice...do NOT provide such services...not even hj's...back road 'parlors' do this...and it is considered prostitution...
a massage therapist can make good money...depending on the area...and if people have the right perception of them...
a lot of people around here think that all massage places offer hj's...bj's...fs and the like...this is not true...and the one's that do...do a disservice to the licenced...spa/private practice therapists...
Main difference: guys come to clubs for dances and occasionally they may come from it (which makes me feel sorry for their wives).
Guys go to a massage parlor for the express reason to get off.
If you accept money under the agreement that you are taking that money to cause a guy to climax, it's hooking. Whether you use your hands, pussy, mouth, ass, whatever.
Again, if that's your thing, no biggie, but don't kid yourself.
well thank you ladies I was starting to wonder if I was in the fucking twilight zone here...
maybe YOU grind your customers to release Raven - don't make the grave mistake assuming that the rest of us do this.
Vanessa you are kidding yourself as NINADAISY so aptly put it and thats fine but dont try and sell that load here, you'll find there are plenty that wont buy.
and Topaz you are certainly right and I appreciate you added that into the mix as I am certain LEGITIMATE LICENSED Therapists everywhere would be thanking you as well for the clarification.
Sapphire makes a hard core point we've been pressing for more than enough time, do NOT perform this sexual act for money in an exotic dance club it is illegal for one and for two it is considered prostitution - dont believe me? Call your local Five-Oh and ASK.
Actually that's not altogether true. LICENSED Massage Therapists or Registered Massage Therapists (RMT's) exist that provide more than just a massage (not all obviously but some). We just don't hear about them too much because they can lose their license if discovered and therefore remain very much "under the radar". Even on ASPD, RMT's are the most protected "group" of providers out there. Any mention of an RMT that associates them with activities above and beyond a simple massage is quickly removed from public view. It's board policy.Quote:

Of course, I have no idea how other "boards" handle RMT's, but it's best to keep any mention of them private.
Dancing is more of a commission based sales job. If you can handle a job where your earnings are not guaranteed ... and can be anywhere from $100 for a night's work to over $800... then go for it.
If you like consistent money, then you need to find a club that will offer this consistency. Yet, at the same time, if you are doing well enough with the massage parlour and like your job well enough... then why change ??
You also have to dance with stripping, hence it's a little more physical then massage. You are using your whole body when dancing.
And yes.. do NOT mention your previous job history. You will get off on the wrong foot. Just go in it with no experience acting as a newbie.
Actually Leigh,
I am not a grinder.but you do have to have some physical contact during a dance. And furthermore I am against guys coming to the clubs for anything other than dances. If you read my original post in this thread you will see that my position is clear. Kepp it behind closed doors and not in the club. But I guess showing a little solidarity with another person in the adult business was wrong... to you.
Solidarity - pick your battles Raven.
Prostitution is not welcome in the strip clubs EXCEPT by the men who require this service and the prostitutes that provide it.
You can claim solidarity with that all you want. Hell, go hold hands with the lot of em and sing koombaya for all I care.
I could give a fat rat's ass who hooks but I do give a fuck WHERE. Keep it OUT of the Strip Clubs. End deal.
I have met your comments with where I stand. I will not condone HJ's or any other form of prostitution in the club or pat some hooker on the back for a "job" well done - fuck that. OR encourage a hooker to come work a strip club with the mindset that she thinks handjobs for money do not equal prostitution. Add to that the appalling gall to make claim to such a standpoint - and to agree with such nonsense? good grief.
I am done with this discussion.
