Ok, I've been going to GC clubs for several years and made friends with many dancers over that time.
First, let me apologyze for those of my gender that have no class, no respect, and act like jerks. They give the rest of us a bad name.
My dancer favorites and friends have told me many stories. I get really pissed at how some guys act. But, that's the business.
Talk to a guy for 5-10 minutes before you dance for him. You'll get a good idea of how he'll act during the dance.
Know it's going to happen and how to deal with it. Simply say "please don't do that or I'll have to stop dancing for you and I want to dance for you". This sets up the boundary, but also give a positive statement to continue working and making money.
If it happens a second time, end the dancing, move on, he's a jerk, he'll never stop. Remember, this will happen. Just know it's part of the business and look for the good guys.
Some guys are just trying to find out where you're boundaries are. Many aren't good at communication so they do this in an immature way. Many are just jerks.
I prefer to (a) talk about boundaries or (b) let the girl lead. This way, everyone can relax and know nothing will happen we both don't want to happen.
We all like to have fun on our jobs. Do what makes it fun for you. You have the right to say yes or no to anything, just like they do.
Good luck. Have fun.
