yet another newbie :)
Hello everyone,
Im Lisa and for a long time i have wanted to start dancing. I currently live in Vegas and i work as a cocktail waitress at one of the casino's on the strip. i make decent money, however, come september, i will no longer be able to work there since i am also a full time student at unlv. i really think that the only other option for making the money i need to survive is stripping. i just dont know where to start. or how to start. i have read most of the newbie posts on here, and i went out today and bought a pair of stripper shoes (they are awesome!!), but with all ive read and i know so far, i am scared out of my witts!!!
would some of you ladies PLEASE tell me how you got into dancing and how was the first time doing it? im sure most of you must have been very nervous, because im nervous just thinking about it..lol
what kind of club should i start out in? what do i say if the managers ask me where i have worked b4? should i buy myself off stage the first few times till i get the courage i need?
i would really really appreciate any suggestions, and if any of you girls are from las vegas, maybe recommending a club.....
thank you :)

Re:yet another newbie :)
There is really nothing to be scared of any moreso than working in a new job or career. Granted, it's a bit more interesting of a job, and yet it is just different. The first thing you should do is start going to a few clubs with someone (as most un-escorted women are not allowed into the clubs) and see what style of club you would like to work at. My suggestion would be for you to start working at a smaller or medium sized club first like Pleasures, the Library, Play it Again Sams, etc. so you can get the feel of what it is like. Jumping in to Cheetahs or Spearmint Rhino may be a bit overwhelming for you at first. Working in a smaller club you'll have a bit of time to hone your skills as far as conversation with customers, how to sell dances, and most importantly, how to dance nude or topless in front of strangers. You may also want to consider coming to one of our classes if you want a serious jump-start on the industry and how to avoid starting bad habits.
