I am seeing the film this afternoon.
I consider myself very suspicious about such films being propaganda, but the more time that this war has gone on, I am so disappointed in the direction our country is going. Especially those of you who are against this type of film, maybe you should be open-minded in seeing it. If there is no truth to it, then your beliefs will remain the same, right? It's good to keep an open mind and see all sides of things. The search for truth, as they say, is never easy -- always difficult, so educating yourself on all sides of this war is important.
I really recommend Control Room (which just opened Wednesday). An American woman directed it. She wanted to step into both the Arab and American media simultaneously and films at the Arab TV station Al-Jazeera. It talks about how difficult it is for reporters to be objective, seeing their own people being killed, but those who love democracy and what it stands for are willing to get as much information as possible out there to the public. No matter what you think of Michael Moore, that is what he's doing.
