Re:What are the reasons to want Bush re- elected ?
Yeah, but something tells me that 10 minutes in the hall with an ugly intern wasn't what the founding fathers had in mind when they came up with the impeachment deal.
Now, i don't like Clinton either. He couldn't keep it in his pants for an INTERN (someone he was in so much of a position of power over) I have interns, some of whom are hot as hell, i keep it in my pants. I have no respect for Clinton, but i think his morals as far as sex goes means nothing as far as the presidency goes. Kennedy was practically gang banging Marylin Munroe (Sorry to be crass) with his brother no less.

DancerWealth, I gotta give it up to ya - you have some set of balls to shove your views down everyone's throats. Is this a technique that you teach the dancers' to use on potential customers to make more money.
I don't think you are being a good businessman. My girlfreind was interested in your services, but now us giving you our money is laughable.
well he has a right to express his views like the rest of us but I have to say its not going to help get business from many here

Re:What are the reasons to want Bush re- elected ?
BTW, how could anyone NOT expect the presidents to cheat on thiir wives? I have seen several presidents wives and picturing them naked is the stuff that nighmares are made of.
You would think these influential men of power could attract better looking women.

Personally, I thought that Clinton should have been impeached for numerous other issues such as selling weapons to the North Koreans and the FBI Filegate. Having sex with an intern in the Oval Office was disgusting and disgraceful. It was also something they could get to stick though.
So we should have impeached Reagan for selling weapons to Iran and lying about it? What the hell was Iran/Contra all about?
And Bush Sr. for his part in the same? What about the weapons sold to Iraq by us? Take off the blinders, man, there ARE Republicans who screw up, just like Democrats do on a regular basis...
I may not always agree with him, but I applaud Jay Zeno for having the objectivity to call it like he sees it, with circumspection and restraint. He has repeatedly shown himself to be most intelligent, and much more important than this--wise in the application of said intelligence.
This is something you and I both have been less praiseworthy about, though I at least consider both political parties subject to criticism.

Re:What are the reasons to want Bush re- elected ?
Its sad that these 2 candidates are the main ones to choose from. I dont want EITHER of them as America's future leader. I think Bush is a money thriving butt-munch. He is more of a business man than a President, but as a business man he doesnt do well either. Kerry is for the war in Iraq and has funded money for it. I am against the war in Iraq so there go both candidates for me. Honestly I hate both of them however if voting for Kerry means getting Bush out of office along with Bush's administration then I guess Ill have to go that route. Then there is plan B - vote for Nader so neither of them get into office which would be MY personal favorite scenario but the chances of both Bush and Kerry losing to Nader is highly unlikely. Its a sad world we live in nowadays.

I'm okay with that. If someone doesn't want to succeed because they have a different political viewpoint than I do, so be it. I'll tell you what, I'll just leave you to erect the altar to Michael Moore on your own and I'll duck out of the political threads. Fair enough?

Hey, 1000th post... isn't that SAD?
I know, and I vowed to give up all the cut throating back in my old BBS years in the PC vs. Amiga computer wars. :) Congrats on the 1000th post! I feel honored that you used it to write about me. I'll be sure my 1000th message will be right back at you. ;D

Re:What are the reasons to want Bush re- elected ?
Well, Dj, I appreciate the kind words.
I'll note my agreement with what others have said about questions that shouldn't have been asked in the first place. The impeachment was an artificial construct, manipulated to go after a President that the Republicans didn't like.
For that matter, I don't understand why they didn't like him. Under the Clinton presidency, we got a balanced budget and welfare reform. I thought those were Republican platforms. (Of course, the Democrats were quick to claim them once they actually happened.) We had socialism rear its head with the health care proposal, but that sank with barely a bubble.
Travelgate, Whitewater, Lewinsky, and such things were unsavory. You wouldn't want to shake hands with Clinton, I grant you. But hardly impeachable, and they paled in comparison to what other presidents did without a problem. It took a real stretch to call a lie by an unfaithful man an impeachable offense. The Republicans, to their discredit, were willing to make that stretch. They succeeded in grinding the gears of goverment and spending millions of dollars and who knows how many man-hours to do so that would have been better spent running the country. Nice "fiscal conservation," guys.

Home schooling? Um, yeah. So how are parents more qualified to teach their children physics, algebra or creative writing than a certified teacher?
not to mention calculus, languages or here's a scary one chemistry :o
Home Schooling Chemistry
OK, children,,
Today we learn how to determine the sex of a baby...
First you get some draino..
Second, you put a little in a jar.
Third ,, you pee in the jar.
If it turns Blue, its a boy.. If it turns Green, its a girl.
Tomorrow, in Home School Biology we talk about sex....you can watch mommy and daddy do it..
End Home School.
Isis, You hit it on the head.

Re:What are the reasons to want Bush re- elected ?
My #1 reason.
Keeping a strong military. Plain and s9mple. If you say, how do you know Kerry won't do that, then I say look back at the past Democratic plans. Clinton, saw some of the biggest cuts our military had. Don't think that our guys got deployed under Clinton? Think again. Some very close friends of mine spent time over in Bosnia for 2 years, and then got to come home. 4 months later he was deployed over to Saudi for another 2 year stint. Keeping a strong military has always been a concern of mine, which is why I vote like I do.
One MAJOR reason I won't vote for Kerry is how he is flip flopping back and forth on the issues. Give me a major stand on something, I would probably give him a good look. However, every time I see him on TV I see him contradicting himself from something he said two weeks ago.
I like that the economy is on the rebound also. But saying that Bush was the savior for that is just plain ass stupid. Anyone who thinks that the President of the United States has that much control over the economy is a freakin moron. In the same token, I don't blame the economy tanking on Clinton. Just was another corrective phase.
Seriously, I really think that one of the biggest issues that will come of the next president is going to be the problems of Jobs going overseas. This issue has to be brought to the forefront and dealt with. Companies riding on the shoulders of the American worker and then taking their job overseas is a damn insult.
Just my opinions. You don't have to agree with them, but don't come in here and tell me how stupid they may sound. I sure as hell don't need someone telling me how to frickin THINK!

Re:What are the reasons to want Bush re- elected ?
Whoever wrote claiming I am a Republican. You have no idea what you are talking about. I am a Libertarian.
As for those who think Pres. Bush did nothing for education do you not remember the education bill soon after his inaugaration. (Sorry if I spelled that wrong). That bill btw was written by T. Kennedy. It was the biggest Education spending bill ever. I do not support it but that blows the argument you pro big government peeps keep saying about Pres. Bush. Pres Bush also spent more on Health Care Care then any President before including Clinton.
Yes, That was before the war. Do you not forget we are at war! We have an enemy who wants to see us all walking around praying to a false demonic god named Allah 5X a day with our Women wearing Robes with all their body covered. You can forget about Strip Joints then. Even though the 911 Hijackers went to Florida Strip Joints while they were here. And you Women you can forget about any rights as you will have none and if you question a man you will be beaten and/or killed. Do you want a Country like that? I do not and I will hope for the death of all who come against the USA.
We are in deficit spending now because we are at war. We did not want this war and we did not ask for it, in the meantime you need to stop being so concerned about Teachers who buy a couple hundred dollars of supplies out of their own pocket. Here in P.B County most get about $50K a Year. Some even higher then that. Schools are being built everywhere much to my dismay as they are a waste of money.
If your a Parent and you dont know how to teach your kids then you should not be a Parent. Home Schooling takes about 3 hours a day, 4 days a week. You can do it during your off hours after work. Many Home School Programs exist where all you have to do is make sure your kids do the work and you send the Test and Quiz results in to a Home Educators Group who do all the teaching via videos and books. It is the same way they do it in Classroom Schools. Studies constanly show Home School Kids are higher educated and socially equipped well over their peers. In some Home School programs almost 90% if not more go onto a College.
As for the comment about Evolution and Creation. I like to know of both. I hold to the Creation view but I know Evolution as well. I just cannot accept that we humans come from ancestral parent being a glob of goo in the bottom of the Oceans of years ago and that somehow our Mommmy and Daddy turned into a walking fish that crept up onto land and somehow stood upright and developed a sense of Culture, Language and Government on its own. Sorry, I am not a child of some goo. (Unless you think Sperm and an Egg are such).
As for those who insult me. WTF? I did not insult you.
As for Nina who posted me being a Racist and Elitist you are way off in fact, I am quite the opposite. In fact, I would like to see White Women actively seeking Black Men to be impregnated by. Why? I think Mixed Race Kids will be the key to ending all forms of racism within just one generation. Also Nina, As for your reply to Sitri about being willing to suffer to get Kerry elected by giving what he wants, Does that also apply to others? As I would be willing to do as you want me to vote if you will also do that for me?
:o

Considering the fact that what is excerpted above is NOTHING even remotely like current evolutionary thinking, i'll have to giggle about your knowledge of Evolution.
A question for you as far as Evolution goes... Just to see if the above was a joke (Considering you said you knew evolution)
1) What is the realationship between Humanity and the Ape, according to Evolutionary Biology? (Hint: Everyone gets this wrong)
EDIT: You don't really have to answer, but you did make the claim (and then insert foot in mouth with that babble about goo). I suggest you actually research something before arguing against it, you'll make a better case.

DW's not the good businessman? You're the one ignoring a potentially profitable arrangement over a political viewpoint that doesn't remotely effect the business transaction or the product/service being offered.
That's bad business.

Re:What are the reasons to want Bush re- elected ?
The only reasons I can find that a person would vote for Bush is if they fall into the upper-class tax bracket and care nothing about anything else in the world but their own personal bank account. Other reasons people will vote for Bush include being against equal rights for homosexuals and want to remove womens reproductive rights and those who wanting to force their religon on every other person living in the US.
I guess everyone can tell I will not be voting for the man in Nov. LOL

Scorpio,
The first statement you criticize is just stupid--Not Racist. A religion is not a racial atribute. It may be highly correlated with a religion in some cases but not Islam in America. Probably half the practitioners of Islam in the US are not even Arabic. A fair percentage are African-American, or Iranian, and I believe technically those from West Africa in the Morrocan area are racially considered Berbers rather than Arabs. (I am not 100% sure of this though, but persons from Turkish ancestry are not considered Arabs either). I fully concur with your disgust with the sentiment you quoted , however.
The second comment is borderline racist but as literally interpreted is not suggestive of a superiority of one race over another. Today a person from England would be considered of one race if their ancestors had lived there for a thousand years. The Anglo-Saxon designation is after all a contraction of two distinct groups at one time as well as a generous mixture of Pict, Slav, Norman, Scot, Teuton, Gaelic, etc.
