Are there any nice strip clubs in detroit anyone can tell me about....?
Yep, try Jon Jon's, Tycoons, and Players. Let me know what ya think.....
Crazy Horse is to be avoided, unless you want to be hustled by polite gangsters. Absolutely, under no circumstances, go to Pantheion (yes, they apparently mispelled it on purpose)--it is very nice inside but there is NO money there. Cheetah's was so-so as of 6 months ago.
Flight Club is very upscale and can be very profitable, but there are a LOT of extras going on there and the owner is an arrogant prick (not that this is all that unusual in this business). You will have to put up with constant molestation there, even if you are a clean dancer.
Toy Chest may be doing better now, but for a while was trying some strange specials (2-for 1 all night long, and some conventional nightclub--i.e. spinning, not MCing--DJs) on Saturday nights that brought in a bunch of young, cheap guys.
detriot was disgusting....
sorry to say...
I hear the Flight club was the only club with few extras going on and a more upscale enviroment...other than that I saw things I never want to see again in that city...
if you can handle that kind of contact the girls were making money but for doing above and beyond the call of duty...
good luck...
There are a lot of clubs in Detroit and what people define as a nice club varies. It depends on the environment you like and what you're looking for. I've been to or worked at some of the clubs mentioned and they're really not as negative as they are made to sound by others who have posted. Shady dealings happen everywhere, but can be ingored.
I like more upscale clubs, so Flight Club and Toy Chest really suited me. Flight Club has high tip-out and is always overrun with too many dancers, but there is really great money to be made, without too much hassle. The guys that want extras know who to ask, so I didn't have too much of a problem there. Toy Chest is smaller than FC and a more comfortable working atmosphere in terms of the girls and managers.
I've also worked at Cheetah's, Crazy Horse, Silver Criket, BT's, Landing Strip, and Pantheon. However, I much prefered Flight Club and Toy Chest. You may want to try Playhouse in Romulus or Subi's in Southgate. I have heard good things about those clubs.
Well, from some of the many stories I have heard from my girlfriend--which I should have said formed the basis for my opinions posted above--this could well be a substantially correct assessment of Detroit clubs, depending on how much the dancer is used to high-contact. Except that by my admittedly high standards Flight Club has more than a few extras going on--though perhaps no more than at least one club I have worked in myself. She is very resilient and thus has a somewhat more positive view than my cynical take.Quote:

Anyone who has read my posts on the club scene in Daytona, where I do have more than four years experience, will be familiar with my often cynical view of the industry. I have seen the kind of conditions which make it rare for new dancers to last more than six months, and very rare indeed for women who survive longer to retain a favorable impression of customers in general.
I cannot forget the post here on SW, from some poor woman who had heard how great Miami was--only to be horrified by the extremely high contact going on there. She was stuck there with a room she couldn't pay for, and sounded pretty miserable and desperate. My negativity in posting the above review was in large part to warn away weaker souls from getting caught in a similar predicament here.
It takes a certain mentality to deal with stripclubs in general. In areas such as Detroit, where even in the nicest clubs, if what I have been told wasn't an exaggeration, you will on some nights have as many as 50% of the guys in VIP trying to finger you, it takes a very strong psyche indeed.
I find working conditions like these entirely abhorrent, and I find it disturbing that someone I care for has to deal with it. Thus my desire to warn those who might be sensitive to such situations. Naturally, if you can make 500-800$ on a regular basis, dealing with grabby guys and questionable characters will become much easier for many dancers. It is true that these kind of earnings are possible at Flight Club and the Toy Chest.
Of course, with the Wayne County Sheriff department's new creation, The Morality Squad (yep, that's what they call it!) having raided Flight Club twice, it might not be such a great idea to work there anyways. I wasn't there, so can't say for sure, but the first raid supposedly entailed several dancers being none too politely arrested, and during the second, they were ticketing girls for even "normal' lap dances--technically illegal in Michigan as in so many other places. I have also heard that the Toy Chest has been visited by police, which supposedly has hurt business there.
Of course, as with any opinions, mine should be taken as such. If you want to try out Detroit, more power to you. Be prepared, and good luck.
Why not go over to Canada? Do they have problems in Ontario as well?
yes ...when I say "extras" in Detriot I mean it...
I imagine on the level of San Fran from all the stories I have heard...
we had to wear 2 if not 3 bottoms in the lap dance area to keep from being fingered...customers regularly undressed, pulled out their dicks, expected to suck on your tits for no extra money, and I saw blow jobs, hand jobs and full on sex going on all in the open back in the lapdance area....
so that being said...there was NO WAY to make money if you were not providing the same services...i didnt last...I ran screaming home...
Djoser is completely correct in his assessment of the conditions there...
avoid unless you can afford major therapy....
Flight Club has been raided a couple of times lately. I know of one girl who was taken away twice, she claimed she was giving "nice sexy dances"....I wasn't there but obviously there was something they didnt' like about her. I haven't been dancing a whole lot lately, pretty much only when I need some extra $. I am getting knee surgery on Thurs which will put me out of the Detroit area clubs for the summer - then I move. I've done a few bachelor parties in this area too and made some great $.
So who ever mentioned Jon Jon's....what does anyone know of this club? I was curious because one of the few nights I was at work a girl from there was also working with me and said that JJ's was great. She said she made about $500 a shift and that guys just watched girls dance and gave them money - she said very little contact. Any truth to this? Is it worth checkign out?
I'm not from Detroit nor have i ever danced there, but i was working with a girl from Flight Club at Platinum Plus in Memphis. We were talking about good money clubs, and she said her home club FC was an excellent money making club but she wanted to get away for a while because the club had been raided and 22 girls were arrested, some for just giving sexy lap dances. I thought this girl was lying, or over exaggerating the situation in detroit, now from reading your posts i see she wasn't.
In Memphis when clubs get raided they just hand out citations, which are know big deal, some girls at PP that have worked there along time have like 10 of them. You just give them to the manager and he takes care of everything, nothing happens to the girl. I have never seen a girl get arrested, during a raid.
My question for anyone dancers/guys in Detroit, is what exactly do these tickets say? Do they get them for prostituiton, lewd acts? I don't understand your laws up there. How can girls get arrested for just giving lap dances???? Spending the night in jail, that's ridiculous, how can a girl make money up there if she's constantly got to worry about gettting arrested? Wow is the midwest really that conservative that they don't allow lap dances, or is this just an isolated incident? Any info. appreciated, always curious how different states laws work. Best of Luck Michigan girls!!! April
The fact of the matter is that "clean' lap dances are illegal in many, many locations throughout this country, and are considered acts of prostitution in the eyes of the law--probably because the d**k is getting rubbed, however indirectly.Quote:

I know that the new ordinance for the City of Detroit allows no physical contact whatsoever, and the dancers aren't even allowed to sit at the same table and converse with customers! Just what kind of crime violation of this new statute is considered I don't know, but I'm sure some of the Detroit dancers will be able to tell you.
Flight Club isn't technically in Detroit, but Inkster, which is well within the municipal area. The Wayne County Morality Squad is clearly determined to extend the intent of the law to the entire area. Unfortunately, though it is otherwise a 'gown' club, there is from what I have been told an extremely high level of contact during VIPs, and a lot of girls there have been giving up the extras as well. This may have something to do with FC being busted twice within a short period of time.
I've heard about high contact at FC but that there is lots of money there. When I was a new to detroit this girl that took me to my current club and took me under her wing (and now i do bachelor parties with) she told me that i could make at least 2-4 times what I make at my club at Flight Club, and that they would definitly hire me. I'm afraid to go there tho. I really want to take a working trip and get away from all of this when my knee heels up.
I know a few of the girls who got arrested and might be hanging out with some this weekend so I'll see if I can find out exactly what these tickets say April. I'm curious myself.
Have any of you heard anything about Lansing clubs...I need to find a new club when I go back to school - I realized how much my old club up there was ripping me off!
Party like a rockstar
I have been to a lansing club called Omars a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed it when I went. I loved watching the dancers.
did the girls look like they were doing ok? What about mileage? Any ideas...couple weeks till I move there!
It was a couple of years ago I went there. I do not rememeber the milage. I know I was in awe with the ladies on stage. They seemed to have been doing pretty good. The men/women go up and lay on the stage part way to give there tips. They seemed to have quite a few people go up there.
