Does anyone know how the clubs are in Albany or surrounding areas? I may be moving there for grad school & was wondering how the money was & if anyone can recommend a good club (I prefer topless or pastie clubs to fully nude). Thanks!!

In a nutshell, they all suck compared to downstate possibilities.
Yeah, I can imagine Albany is no goldmine compared to NYC & surrounding areas -- although, it should be a little better than where I am going to school now -- (Buffalo - probably the least lucrative of any town I've worked in, the economy is terrible here- even more so than most of the rest of the country - and there is competition w/ neighboring high-mileage Canadian clubs).
If I end up going to school in Albany, hopefully I'll find one busy club (busy by upstate NY standards anyway) to help pay the bills!
I think I've been to every club in the Albany area and they're all terrible.
Don't waste your time dancing in Albany. You would be better off getting a waitressing job in a restaurant!!
That bad, huh? Well, if it isn't worth it I might just trade in the thong & platform heels for an apron & a tray (or office job attire??). The way I see it, there's only 2 reasons for dancing (money & flexibility) & lots of reasons not to (can't exactly put it on a resume, no benefits, an often negative work environment, etc....), but the fast money is soooo addictive ...... I guess Albany would help me break that addiction huh?? Oh well, thanks for the input!
My favorite club is Mardi Gras in Springfield, MA, and I know of several dancers there who commute from Albany. It's about 90 miles each way and takes 1.5 hours. MG is a very busy club esp. on Fri and Sat nights. Lots of earning potential. Good luck!
