Boy, no kidding, FBR.
Some guys like blondes, some like brunettes. Some like boobs, some like asses. Some like tattoos, some don't. Big freaking deal. Plenty of brunettes and redheads make money, in fact, at every club I've worked in, a redhead was one of the top earners.

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
yea blondes sometimes seem more popular, but a lot of guys ive known like brunettes better. Being a red-head is the best way to go only because I am different than either majority. and the guys like it just as much as i do.

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
Daphned you may not like glowing hair, but many, MANY guys do. I know I liked my blonde hair when I had it, but it was a pain in the ass to maintain so I went back to my natural color. :)

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
Natural is always better,

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
I think we've been so exposed to the stereotype, that it's like this "when you think of a mouse, what's the frist image you get in your mind?" Mickey Mouse. Same thing for dancers. Im a brunette and I love Donald Duck!

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
I've run into lots of guys who are suckers for long haired brunettes.
Although the one time I bleached my hair blonde (yuck. hiddeous looking on me) I was astounded by the attention I got on the street. Really. It was out of control. go figure. ::)

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
blonde and blue eyes the standard? wtf actually I've been the only blonde on in a shift and made nada! guys perfer either, there have been some nights where I've been REALLY discriminated against because I was blonde. Then some nights I cleaned up.

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
Im naturally a dark blonde, not a brunette. I highlight my hair and it looks best light blonde as it is with highlights. Ive tried red and brown before. I shine as a blonde though, everyone prefers the blonde over the other two for me personally. But Ive worked with a few hot ass brunettes that have made just as much money as me. I havent worked with many red heads though-In alot of cases the money isnt in the haircolor....Haircolor is the last thing guys are noticing on the runway..

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
WHY BLONDE??
Blonde is trendy right now.
Most men aren't particularly creative and like what they are told to like by the media, ie, Blonde Pam Anderson look.
Blonde is more noticeable in a dark room, especially with a black light.
The myth that blondes "have more fun", aka blondes are sexier and sluttier.
A blonde is a status symbol much like a Mercedes and rolex.
Some men from poor ethnic backgrounds prefer blondes because it shows they have made it in "whitey-land". This may be a controversial reason, but it definately contributes....
WHY BLUE EYES?
All the reasons above, plus blue is the #1 favorite color of Americans. Maybe that has something to do with it....

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
Katrine is right, men like what they are told to like. I am very exotic looking with long dark hair and brown eyes--and men love me!!! I get sick attention outside and in the clubs, but I have occasion ran into a customer who prefers blondes, but that is rare. No offense to blondes really, but a pretty brunette's face is usually prettier than a blonde's face--just my opinion, open a Victoria's Secret catalog and see for yourselves, brunettes also age MUCH better too. Don't hate me for my comments b/c I think all women are beautiful but the stereotype of "hot stripper" is only a blonde is ridiculous.

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
I'm naturally a light blonde [I'll scan a pic or sometime]. Last summer I cut my waist length hair to my shoulders an dyed it dark red [all right, first green and purple, then all purple and then dark red]. I LIKE it a lot this way. When the red lightens a bit people wouldn't have realized I'm a blonde. I haven't tried dancing as a blonde, but people complimented it a lot otherwise. hee.

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
I'm English, & Native american. Very dark eyes, light skin. But blond brows. Very little body hair. Have brown hair, but red, & darker hair makes me look weird, older I think. So my hair is a light brown, w/highlights. I do go on the warpath sometimes. last b/f stole my crossbow.

LOL,Whirlerz,that's so funny!!!

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
It's funny, at the club I work at, the owner actually doesn't like to hire blondes very much, she thinks brunnettes are sexier. So out of 14 or 15 dancers that work there (it's a very small club) only 2 dancers are blond, and they are natural. The rest of us range from black hair to very light brown, and men seem to like us just fine. :) Maybe blonde hair and blue eyes isn't the standard look for dancers? Ps...my eyes are brown and I get tons of compliments on them, go figure. :P
-
Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
Daphned, I know exactly what you mean about guys preferring blondes. If you look at a club there are usually more blonde dancers than any other hair color, and most are not natural blondes, which is fine. I am a brunette and I am one of the top money earners in my club. The other top money earners are all blonde. I love being a brunette though b/c I actually stand out in a sea of beautiful blondes. There are a lot of beautiful blonde dancers, so a hot brunette can really do well if she knows how to work it.

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
i agree that blonde/blue is STILL the most sought after in tha stripclubs, but what can we brunettes do? im a brunette w/ hazel green eyes & tanned olive skin, sum guys like it, sum dont, i jus keep hustlin...i personally think ethnic girls are the sexiest but thats jus my opinion.

hehehe

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
Blondes ARE a status symbol, but like bad Gucci, you can tell when they're fake.
This brunette is good at working it in a sea of blondes. I've plied my trade at it quite well for years now...but if only I could find a way to compete against the extras girls ::)

Nothing worse than a bad dye job.
News flash for those not aware: showing roots is not attractive.
Two cents.

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
Nina as for the extras girls you could always cut throat them like I do! LOL they go and do a dance or two they they are done, I then go up to the guy and ask him for a dance for $10 off what she charges. You should she how mad those girls get, and now that I have been doing it all the other girls are doing it to these girls regulars too. Hopefully we will run them the hell outta town!!!!!
Back on topic, I am a naturally dark haired, almost black haired goddess, (see avatar) and I have no problem making money. Personally I am not as initally attracted to a blonde as I am a red head or a brunette. But that's just me.

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
I've noticed that too and it makes me feel so inferior! I always hear guys talking about the "cute little blonde" or "the leggy blonde" or "all I need is a blonde on my arm" yadda yadda and it drives me batty!! My step sister is a tall blue-eyed blonde and I think on the hotness level we are equal but when we would go out, it was like I was totally invisible or treated as a buddy to the guys and she was the goddess of the night. Not that I minded being a buddy once in a while but sometimes I wish a little brunette like me could be "the ultimate" as well...

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
I think its all a question of taste some men prefer blondes some others brunette ! Theres nothing worst than a girl who dyes her hair blonde and it doesn't suit her so it all depends on what suits you !
-
Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
Also I dye my hair blonde and alot of people cant tell and think its my natural color ! Its true that I have a good colorist but also I have pale eyebrows, the skin color of a blonde and not alot of body hair ! I think I look better as a blonde and it doesn't look fake ! But theres also some girls on who it looks absolutely fake !

Re:Why is "blonde hair and baby blue eyes" the Standard Look for Dancers??
Everyone has an opinion about everyone else. I find that the best thing to do is to go with what makes you happy. If you want your hair blonde..Then dye it blonde and who gives a crap as to whether someone else likes it or not...If you're a brunette or red head and are happy the way you are then stay that way...I dont think there's any reason to hate the blonde or hate the brunette or red head. Behappy with what you have..and if youre not happy change it for yourself..and no one else...
