Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
Does this show make anyone else want to commit mass murder?
The way some of these fucktards treat their pets is atrocious!
here's what i think... anyone should be able to own a pet WITH A LISCENCE THAT CAN BE REVOKED. The second you do some of the starving, neglecting, brutal, bullshit i see on that show you should LOSE the right to have a pet FOREVER.

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
Sorry, just venting. I saw a German Shepard so ridden with ticks that she was actually being sucked dry. It's a wonder she lived. Shit like that makes me sick.

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
OMGs Madcap.. HELL FREAKIN YES!
Animal Planet and Nick-At-Nite are the only channels I watch (That is, when my daughter lets me shut Pooh off.. lol)
I never miss an episode of Animal Cops. I honestly don't know why I continue to watch, because I find myself very angry and ready to lash out at anyone and anything that crosses my path.
Did you happen to catch last night's episode? They're showing Animal Cops-Houston all week, and last night they were looking back on their most extreme cases.
In one case, there were 3 severely malnourished horses. These poor things were nothing but skin and bones. The effing jerk who owned them, when he was confronted by the ACOs, said that he didn't want them to take the horses away, because he had paid good money for them. WTF? And to make matters worse, adding to the horror, was that inside the stables where the horses were kept, in a separate stall, there was a ton of hay and feed. Horrible, isn't it? The horses had NOTHING in their stalls.
In another case, they were called to the backyard of some arsehole. There, they found a dog who had strangled himself when he got hung up by his collar on the fence. The freakin owners had no knowledge about what had happened, or that the dog was hanging on the fence, dead. The same people had a Rottie mommy, who had given birth to 12 puppies. TWO of them were still alive. They claimed the puppies died one by one. No shit. They're out in the freakin hot Houston Sun, with no freakin Water, or adequate shade.
Then, another one, (Which always seems to be a recurrent problem on the show), was a dog that had her collar (not even a freakin collar, but a CHAIN), that had become embedded into her skin.
People who do not treat their animals right should be freakin shot, right there, dead. I have zero tolerance for such inhumanity. These animals have no voices, and are helpless at the hands of humans. They need us to protect and take care of them. Ugh.. Sorry, I had to rant.
But yes, Mad, to answer your question... It pisses me off to NO END. Anything regarding children or animals is about the only thing that can really get to me.

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
AMEN you guys I agree totally! It just makes me wonder how they treat their kids if that's any indication of how they treat their pets....
Hell I'm for a law that states you have to have a liscence to have kids. Have you seen the abuse that some kids go through? Not to mention pets as well.

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
I watch it but i don't know why. All it does is piss me off and make me think how far we as a species have fallen.
You have a pet, that pet is like a kid and should be loved and treated like s/he is your child. Hell, that's how they think of you! It just makes me sick when love is returned with apathy. There are some circumstances between people where this is appropriate, but never between animal and person.
Pets love. People need to get a grip.

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
Oh I hear ya, hon.. It makes me really worry about how they treat their "human" kids.
The only thing that lightens me up a bit and keeps my homicidal thoughts at bay, is when they show the owners of the abused animals getting arrested. Of course, they NEVER serve time. They get probation. I wish to hell that would change one of these days. That's where those people belong.

OMFG i KNOW! How shitty is that? They can just go out and torture another animal if they want (and they will)!

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
It's freakin ridiculous, that's for sure.
Another thing that pisses me off to no end is that even though the animals are rescued, some of them are too far gone (mentality wise), to be adopted out. Some of them are too aggressive and not used to human contact that they can't be adopted out, and have to be euthanized.
One that they showed last night did wonderful, right up until they did the food-aggression test, where they feed the dog, and then put a plastic hand in the bowl. He tore it up. So, they concluded that he was too violent to be adopted out and was put down.
That's one of my biggest peeves about people who get dogs just to chain them up outside as "guard dogs". They become violent from having no human contact, and their temperaments are ruined.
Ugh..

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
The best way to get a gaurd dog, is to let him or her into your family. Love them a lot, give them some pets and hugs and they will stand ready to give their lives for you.
Euthenasia is one thing when an animal is terminal and in agony, then it's the "owner's" duty to the animal to ease things, but i hate the idea of killing an animal that has done nothing but be an animal.
One single chance, only one. People should never be given free reign to 'own' pets if they have demostrated that they cannot care for them. I mean, come on, how much does it really take to make sure and feed a dog? Sure it's a pain to change a litterbox, but in three minutes it's over! You're gonna get a dog and then not let it inside??? Oh, it's only a gaurd dog, it's not part of the family. I beg to differ. If 'it's not part of the family' then you need to buy an alarm system rather than a living, breathing, feeling, thinking, animal.

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
Exactly the way I feel. You should see me while I'm watching them perform the tests. I'm sitting here screaming at the TV saying "Be good, Be good!" to the dogs.. I'm such a moosh.. But I know that if they fail the tests, that's what happens to them :(
I completely agree with you though. Euthanasia should only be used when it is a terminal condition, and the animal is suffering.
In my opinion, a dog with food-aggression can be trained to stop.
You are absolutely right though, the best training for a guard dog is to let it in your family. Let it become one of you.
When I lived in AZ, my ex hubby was gone quite a bit with his job. I got an adorable lab/chow mix from a shelter. He was so small when I got him, I had to carry him outside to go potty, and then carry him back inside afterwards.. lol.. Anyhoo, he grew to be 110 lbs of moosh! He would hop into my bed, and sleep there, with his head on the ex's pillow.. lol.. So, whenever my hubby came home, he'd have to fight the dog for his side of the bed.
My kids could do absolutely ANYTHING to this dog. They'd be eating yogurt (ick, I know), and cover him in it, and so many other things. He never did a thing to hurt them. And he protected us all with his life.
Unfortunately, when I left the ex and came back home, he found Lance (Short for Sir Lancelot) a new home. Pissed me off, because I would've gladly even driven back to AZ to get him. :(

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
How about this, your dog has food agression, don't fuck with his or her food.
-
Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
NO KIDDING! Let the dog eat and don't stick your freakin hand in his/her bowl. Simple, right?
People are so freakin stupid.

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
I don't have any form of cable so I don't watch animal cops, did when I was at a friend's house [did you guys see the one where the guy had the dog chained in the backyard with a lot of standing water and the dog had a bazillion and a half ticks!??! >:( ]

And yet it makes so much sense!

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
LOL I agree, I mean I will stab you with my fork if you try to take food off of my plate, so why wouldn't a dog be agressive if you stick you hand in it's food?
And what aggervates me the most is pit bulls. I had a pit bull I adopted from a rescue, this dog used to be a fighting pit(yes as in dog fights), and we got him nutered and took care of him, showed him love and he never even so much as growled, at anyone. He would howl and grumble at around 10:30 at night if you were on his love seat. But that was where he slept and that was his bed time. But to say that all pits are mean and that they can't be rehabilitated and they have to be put down is just stupid in my book.

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
Kit~
I agree. Why would anyone fuck with food that is already in the bowl. I can see if it is a chicken bone, in that case take the dog by the collar and move him or her away from the bowl... THEN grab it and whisk it away.
It's not hard.
I mean, seriously, why feel the need to have an animal so under your thumb that you must be able to take his or her's FOOD away? In some cases, yes. Some things can hurt a dog, that's where stern parenting comes in. It's not all rosey. Even a dog has a personality!

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
The kind of sh*t I would do to these people would make medieval torture seem tame.

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
It really makes me wonder about some people. If one can HURT something (someone?) who loves them that much, who are they as people? Are they even worth a fuck?
Edit: Animals deserve more. People sometimes don't.

YES,I TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!!!
People know better and they STILL choose to do the wrong things!!!!!
These same people will NEVER get one iota of sympathy from me!!!!!
EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
That might be a bit harsh, but i'd like to see one of them chained to a tree for days with no food.

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
These things piss me off as well. I cant handle seeing an animal mistreated. :( Its just not right.
I think that our laws are too lax when it comes to animals. Some states only consider it a misdemeanor to hurt a animal. Others dont.
We should sign a petition that makes animal cruelty a felony in EVERY state on the first offense. Screw that bullshit of, "you can get away with it once" cause Im sure little Fido doesnt wanna have to be beaten once at all.
:finger: I hate animal abusers!!!

Re:Animal Cops on the Animal Planet channel...
