I received a phone call last week asking me if there was any possible way of starting earlier than the 16th... So... I began on Tuesday.. this is what I have concluded:
Tuesday:
6:00 AM: Hit snooze button eight times... curse at the stupid thing and roll over....
6:45AM: Get into shower (yes, I peed)
6:55AM: Get out of shower, shoo the cat away (she likes water- go figure) and begin getting ready for work
7:30AM: Drop daughter off at child care, sit in traffic, wondering what I have done to myself...
8:00AM-10:00 AM: Arrive at work, sit at orientation, get the skinny on people, faces, names, etc.. all the usual stuff
10:30AM: Birthday celebration for a woman in the office... LOTS OF CAKE
11:00AM: Benefits Meeting.. sign up for insurance
12:00PM: Go to lunch with new boss... he even orders dessert (But.. didn't we just have cake????)
At this point, I want a nap....
1:00PM: Go over exsisting case files, read read read and photo copy a kabillion pages
2:00PM: Firm break.. chips and salsa and beer
3:00-5:00PM: Misc stuff and then head to home
The next day, is kinda similiar except:
We have an icecream gathering at 2:00 and in the morning someone brought in bagels...
DO ATTORNEY"S ALWAYS EAT THIS MUCH FOOD AT WORK?
Anywho, I love my job.. I'm having a hell of a time getting my sleep schedule adjusted.
My last two nights at the club are tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday night... then I'm done...
I've noticed that my feet hurt in 3 inch heels...
