Whoa!
My only question is this...who the hell was giving her food? Why didn't they call authorities when she stopped being able to get off the couch? Sad...very, very sad.
That's neglect, plain and simple. Charges should be filed. Really someone had to bring her food and know of this. However here in Florida you can refuse medical treatment no matter what if no relatives had her baker acted for treatment. See what happens.
The story did not give much info. She could have had a person come in only once a month for all we know, just to set packaged foods by her, along with drinks. Sad.
Pamela
holy ....... NEGLECT!!!! how horrible!
what the hell is this? This story is fucked up.
Be careful about wanting charges for neglect... one never knows where they can take society.
How did she go to the bathroom or shower.......
Not a question i want answered. ;)
She didn't go into the shower or bathroom, I don't think....Since it said there was a horrible smell.
Bah!
I was thinking that too, she just went to the bathroom on herself for 2-5 years. Since her skin was grafted to the couch that had to be what was going on. I had no idea skin could do that! Mesh with an inanimate object?? Very weird. Yeah, whoever was feeding her should be charged with neglect. They should have notified someone!! ANYONE!! It's like they were just waiting for her to die or something, I guess they got their wish.
Yeeeeeeeeesh!
:scared:
Did anyone ever have the thought that she could've been part of a relationship with someone known as a "feeder" ??
I've heard about guys who actively seek out women to feed... and make them HUGE! I saw a doco one time about a woman who was very popular on the 'net for BBW (Big Beautiful Women)... and she had to loose weight even tho' her husband (known as the "Feeder") didn't really want her too....
anyway.. no matter what.. you always have choices. Why didn't SHE say something to someone ??? Was she mute and deaf ??
Unfortunately, the article didn't go into detail, but it's quite possible she was being controlled in some way. But at some point, I'd imagine that a person would just say "Enough!".
It's a sad story nonetheless.
This is just plain sad.... obviously someone has to have some answers as to how this happened.
I agree that there was some neglect...but this person was an adult....personal choices were made.
The smell was so bad that authorities had to blast in fresh air, yet there were people living with her?
Yuck yuck yuck. I don't feel so good.
Definitely a neglectful situation.
