A Puerto Rico Club Goes Down in Flames
Last Friday, shortly after arriving from western PR where I now live and work, I checked the webpage of one of the local papers and found out there was a fire in one of the very few clubs out there. It did not state whether it closed or not so when I returned last Sunday I drove by. Yup, it was gutted so RIP western Puerto Rico strip club :brokenheart:. Afterwards I found out that its owner blamed the owner of a rival club in another town (about 25 minutes away) for the fire and that he had received a threatening phone call a week before the fire. So much for competition! :-\ Any similar stories to share???

Hey!...I used to work there too in Rio Piedras and go to the Miramar Club, but thats the good ol' times. The club was razed by the City, say for a convention center.....
The Miramar was a famous club all around the globe. One of the few clubs you could have oral sex on the bar counter in the middle of the crowd. Talking about heavy contact!

This one club that someone I knew worked at, got blown up! Literally.

Re:A Puerto Rico Club Goes Down in Flames
I wonder just how many of these fires turn out to be insurance fraud cases.
We had a club upstate have a fire last November. Apparently the same people who owned the club also owned a construction company and they had everything replaced and the club refurbished. Within ten weeks of the fire they reppened with new upscale decor. You'd have never swore there was a fire had you not known better.
I went there after the reopening and asked some of the dancers if they ever figured out what started the blaze. They said it was faulty wiring in the ceiling above the main stage, and that video from the club security cameras proved it. One told me that the club had a vintage Harley Davidson motorcycle that just happened to be on the premises the morning of the fire.
Hmm. ::)
Re:A Puerto Rico Club Goes Down in Flames
Was it Papa Joe's?? That's the only one in the west I think?
Re:A Puerto Rico Club Goes Down in Flames
Don't worry, foxee, it was not Papa Joe's, that club is in Ceiba which is on the east. So if you want to work there go check the classifieds on www.endi.com, Papa Joe's is actively seeking dancers ;D
Ok, Doc, guess what? I drove by again this week and it had a sign stating that this club will soon reopen with new facilities and new dancers ( ???) so go figure. Oh yeah, I forgot to write that the club's owner said that it had $70,000.00 in equipment. ::)
