Re:Need theme show advice
Maybe pancake syrup would be better? Its still sticky, but the lite stuff has a thinner consistency.
Re:Need theme show advice
I dunno about the honey thing...no matter what I think it'll be sticky and possibly not that hot...maybe experiment with mixing the honey with a nice carrier oil, so that it has that sexy shiny kind of consistency that you can spread around easily?
Or maybe do an candle show with those honeycomb- printed beeswax candles? Might be a bit abstract for the boys, but you never know...

The honey and oil sounds good, I think I'll experiment with that first.
No candles, the hot wax thing doesn't turn me on! :o
Thanks for the suggestions; any more are welcome!
Re:Need theme show advice
I think honey, even diluted is going to be a nightmare for you and cleanup is going to be a biotch on the stage.Anything you touch,or drip on, is going to be a sticky mess.
I think your going to kill the time right after your show when you should be making the most money, your going to be in the back trying to get honey offa everything.
If its just the honey bee bottles as a prop that you were going for,why not try two of them.Fill one with yellow glow in the dark body paint, and the other with black GID paint.paint stripes on your body and lay on a tee shirt.Give away(or auction off)a 3 B shirt.(bumble bee butt, bumble bee boob)
Not sure how it goes at your club, but here, after a girl does a feature, she then spends the rest of the night doing lapdances and private dances.I think honey will keep you in the back to long cleaning up,while the other girls are making money from a roomfull of guys you just turned on.
Re:Need theme show advice
I gotta agree about the cleanup being a liability after the show. After I did my tiger thing in PR I had guys BEGGING me for private dances and I couldn't do it because I was so messy. I hadn't planned on working that night anyway, was just doing the show, but still, that's money I could have been making...
I'm trying to think of something for the honeybee, will send if I come up with anything.
Re:Need theme show advice
Hey great idea BTW! I like the paint idea instead of honey too - less messy, still effective.
Have you chosen your songs yet? This probably deserves to be in the music Mix section, but anyway, you gotta try:
"Honey to the bee" Billie
and
"Bumble bee" Aqua (this had a few remixes too, a great song).
Have you seen those smokey kettle things that Bee Keepers use? It would be cool to come out in one of those overall and hooded protection thingsthat they wear, spraying that stuff (dry ice will do it) and then have your bee costume underneath.
Re:Need theme show advice
Nina -
Diluting the honey is a great idea. Honey is mostly water and sugar. Melt the honey and blend in more water. You can refill your containers with the same. This will make it much easier to wash off. Shower at the highest temp you can stand. Honey melts into water/sugar.
Just in case, I better pack some honey.....
Re:Need theme show advice
honey to the bee is perfect, but its slower so use it second.
Great idea with the outfit.
Get a white jumpsuit and bee smoker!
Cut the sides and use velcro to make the jumpsuit tear away, use dry ice in the smoker to give ya smoke without the fire sprinklers going off.Have a sexy bumble bee outfit under it.
I dunno about the bee net hat, might mess up the hair going on and comming off.Maybe some of those stupid looking bumble bee dooly boopers that clips on to your head. You could even auction off the 2 dollar dooly booopers at the end of the set for 20 bucks!
Im an eyes and smiles fan,i dont like it when a entertainer covers her face.
Re:Need theme show advice
just thought of something....
If you go with the jumpsuit idea and you dont want to do the tear away idea.
At home depot,or alot of paint stores, you can get the disposable painters jumpsuit. It looks the same, only its made outta some kinda lightweight material that feels like cloth paper.(thats see thru!! bonus!)
Its easy to tear so you can toss that into the show somehow.
sexy beekeeper ripping off her jumpsuit kinda thingy.
Its cheap to,around 1-2 dollars apiece. And did i mention see thru???
Re:Need theme show advice
Instead of honey how about KY ultra gel dyed with food coloring? Easy cleanup, very liquidy but still thick enough to run over the body in a sexy way. Just make sure that the dye doesn't stain your skin.
Re:Need theme show advice
We always use non oil based lotion for our shows, it's easy to clean (off your body and the stage). Plus your skin feels great after! You can water it down, thicken it up, and color it easily.
Re:Need theme show advice
I thought the black and yellow paint was a great idea!! I would consider that for sure. Guys love a naked girl with paint and they'll go bananas to get the shirt she rolled around on.
Re:Need theme show advice
I would just use a dark oil, or maybe one of those luminescent lotions with some honey food die in it...
Re:Need theme show advice
Well, I got my honeybee outfit tonight and bought some honey. I dumped out 2/3 of it and filled the rest with canola oil. I have to go to the hardware store and buy a large plastic sheet tomorrow so I can do the act tomorrow night.
Wish me luck!
Re:Need theme show advice
Good Luck!! ;D You'll BEE awesome.
Re:Need theme show advice
how did it go???
details woman!Details!
Re:Need theme show advice
There were a lot of lines crossed communication-wise... :(
Literally five minutes before I went on, a manager informed me that I'd be doing a two-song, not three-song, set. Okay... ???
I get onstage, dance to my first song (Honeybee by Tom Petty) then Pour Some Sugar on Me starts. The floorman who was handling my props and who I was paying $20 to do so was nowhere in sight. We were short floormen and all of them were breaking up a huge fight by the entrance. Halfway through the song, he takes my outfit and hands me my plastic sheet and honey.
I'm pretty flustered at this point, but the show must go on. And go on it did. I wound up netting $50 exactly in tips from the show. The club wasn't too busy last night too :(
BTW, I just wound up using regular honey and it just washed right off very easily. I was cleaned up and back on the floor withing 3 songs of being done!
Re:Need theme show advice
That's too bad your club didn't play the proper songs and give you the props you wanted. Your show still sounds cool and it's nice you tried it.
Re:Need theme show advice
I'm definitely gonna do it again. It was fun and if things go more smoothly next time, it could be a lot more lucrative. Plus no matter what I get tipped on stage I get free house fee for that night! ;D
Re:Need theme show advice
I wonder if Neutrogena's sesame seed oil would work. It comes in about a 10 oz. bottle, but is about $10. It is the color of honey or a bit lighter. It is NOT greasy so will clean up well and great for your skin. The consistancy is a wee bit thinner than honey though. Check it out.
If you need any other bee outfit accessories, let me know, I can help you out.
Re:Need theme show advice
yellow liquid latex could work. It will dry by the time you are off stage. =)

Does it smell like sesame oil? The sesame oil I use for cooking has a very strong smell.
Nina Daisy, what bee costume did you use? This one? http://www.surprisehim.net/sunshop/h...oat_skirt.html
I really want one for Halloween, but I am not sure about the quality of this one. Its cute, but I can't tell anything about the fabric content of the bodice, Just curious.
Thanks, hun!

The Neutrogena Body oil comes in fragrance free. I always use it after shaving, keeps my skin smooth and feels great when rubbing it on. =)
Re: Need theme show advice
you can use the bear container, take the honey out put it in a bowl and use another bowl to put water and honey in a mix till it turns out the way you want it tobe then put it back in the bottle,it does work....good luck:)
