Re:Working a Crowded Club
At my club when we are very busy, it tends to be like the deli... I feel as though I need that damn number dispenser attached to my hip... I don't have time to talk, it's usually one dance after the other. There is usually a guy wanting to talk but I can't because I have other non-talkers waiting.. ;) Just focus on hustling.. ;D
Re:Working a Crowded Club
What do you do to make then stop talking....do you just intereupt and say you have to go? Do you sometims have to be a little rude? Do recommend that they pay you for your time? Theres gotta be a nice way to do this...

Oh, God, I hate when someone talks too much. I mean, damn, I"m not there for the conversation. I usually just shake my head "yeah, yeah, yeah" as I'm inching away from them (HELLO! Get a clue--I gotta go!). And then I kindly say, "Well, I gotta go. Talk to you next time (HA), have fun." I mean, when they just keep yakking there really is no polite way to say that you need to go 'cause they don't even allow themselves to BREATHE 'cause they're talking so much. Ack. Those are some of THE worst customers.
Re:Working a Crowded Club
If there is a champagne room or something, say "well, I've enjoyed talking to you, would you like to continue this conversation somewhere a little more private?"
if there isn't, I say something like
"Well, unless you'd like a dance I'm afraid I'll have to go back to work, want a little fun before I leave?" <- usually this line tells 'em put up or shut up, therein I disentangle myself.
Last night there was one guy who did not speak english terribly well, I couldn't understand him and when I'd ask for a dance or something he'd shake his head and say something incomprehensible, then slip $5 into my garter belt - then try to touch my breast or something. Grr. Finally I lied and said I needed to get ready to go on stage. :P

LOL Luna, he's probably been reading too much SCJ!
If you get a guy trying to talk when it's busy and you've got guys waiting, you briefly answer whatever question he's asking, then say in your sweetest voice, "but I'm sorry hun I've got someone waiting for a dance so gotta go, have fun!" and immediately go to the next customer..
